Do you get notifications when buying direct from Golden?

Reading the comments from the Mule thread it appears that many international shoppers don't get any notifications.

I have ordered twice from Golden and neither time did I get a shipping notification. This is a problem as (I think) USPS don't send any notifications unless you request them via their website. This can only be done once you have a tracking number.

If this is a common problem for all international shoppers I'm hoping a different notification process can be arranged.

I'm American and I'm pretty sure i usually get two emails when stuff ships from Spyderco. One from Spyderco and one from UPS.

Is it intentional that you're asking the Americans about UPS, and the non-Americans about USPS? They're not the same.

This is correct.

UPS = United Parcel Service, a non-government entity.

USPS = United States Postal Service, the postal service of the United States. Overseen by our "leaders" which explains some of the issues.

Yes, Spyderco use UPS for domestic and USPS for international.
Sorry, I didn't make that as clear as I could have.

I ordered twice a Mule Team blade this year.
Got one or two days later a shipping notification from Spyderco with tracking number.

For the Z-Wear Mule from last week still no shipping notification.

It's been a while since I ordered directly from SFO but I seem to recall orders just showing up out of the blue unexpectedly, so I feel like at some point I didn't get any notifications or tracking info at all. I can't even say what my last order was, it's been a while.

Received email date of purchase(19th) from SFO, UPS email (21st) received tracking then on the 23rd, UPS delivery date rescheduled. UPS update on the 24th as well.

I just checked my emails and have received shipping notifications for all my Mule orders except this one. Must be a glitch in the system. Canadian.

Or do you get notifications from both Spyderco and USPS?

I've only had notifications from USPS when I've requested them on their website, after checking with a tracking number.
