Next Reveal Anticipation

It's pretty clear that the Reveal concept isn't working in this period of materials, labor and freight shortages.
Why not pivot and "reveal" a model when it can actually be predicted with greater accuracy? Sure, the lead time will be much shorter but you'll have more certainty. In other words, set expectations lower and meet them. The downside is you build less excitement about your products. The upside is you have less frustration, inquiries and threads like this one.
