Nice, I'll grab a few if I can. Been waiting for a while for a Jester!
We've both pined for one of these in GITD! I rarely get time here anymore but I'm glad I was able to see this.
For sure! And while 20CV isn't my all time favorite, I am happy to see something aside from VG-10 like all of the other GITD models have been. Definitely a bonus.
I mean different steels for different knives. What steel would you rather have here (excluding Magnacut)?
I'd go with a salt model for keychain knives. H1 or LC200N would have been my preference. Not really a big deal though. I just like variety so I was glad for something different than VG-10.

20CV is like 90% as corrosion resistant as LC200N but has excellent edge retention, which I think is a better combo for tiny blades than high toughness and 100% corrosion resistance.
Indeed! Funny how things turn out...I thought the GITD result here back then was more of a joke (pun intended) but it seems Travis at the Knife Joker actually *might * have listened to the polls back then and actually went with the winner of the scales poll results!
I haven’t owned a Jester before but I often have a Ladybug or Manbug as a keychain knife so I am in for at least one. GITD wouldn’t be my first choice for scales but this will be a nice addition to the keychain rotation.
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

Tell that to my wife's Watu...
It didn't get the memo.

Edit to add: TheKnifeJoker is the one that ticked off some people when they dropped half an exclusives inventory in the middle of the night... just saying... you might want to keep an eye out.

Does she have particularly corrosive sweat or use it to gut salt water fish? I've seen 20CV hold up pretty well in corrosion tests by youtubers and Larrin. It could also be that she got a knife with an out-of-spec heat treat because that affects corrosion resistance too.

A few years back I cut into some freshly grilled sausage links and it actually stained the 20CV blade on my Manix. I took some Flitz to it pretty quickly and it restored the factory finish. 20CV proved to me that night that it is capable of patina/corrosion.
