This knife SHINES with SE. I'll have to buy one, regardless...
But, they really mucked it up by going PE.
Just put a course edge on it and get best of both worlds.
Not even close to the same thing.
I've used both edges, extensively and have found that SE is a much better edge on knives this short.
That being said, the Micro Dyad is actually the best of both worlds. :p :D
I hear what you are saying. However, SE on tiny knives has been "meh" for me, in my use.
As to the Micro Dyad, yes truly best of both worlds. That super fine tip on the PE blade has always worried me to the point where I don't use mine. A MD Sprint in a very tough stainless like AEB-L or 14C28N would be very interesting.

Pretty cool!! I've seen a lot of Jester requests over the past 4 years, so this is pretty awesome for everyone that's been hoping for one all this time!
I really dont think I have a use for it, but will likely try for one just because of that cool blade shape.

Wow, cool! :D This is the first drop I've been excited about in a while! This will likely kick my Manbug out of my pocket as my everyday little knife.. if I can actually manage to get one!
That's a really good price! And a good way to try a new steel. I did some reading on 20CV, and as I understand, it's a little tougher than S30V.
It's more stainless than S30V and has better edge retention, but it is similar toughness. IMO it's pretty good on keychain knives like this because it is extremely low maintenance, but also tiny blades aren't too useful for food prep so I like K390 a bit more for this purpose, as I don't have any problems with sweat corrosion nor do I live in a particularly humid place.

For sure! And while 20CV isn't my all time favorite, I am happy to see something aside from VG-10 like all of the other GITD models have been. Definitely a bonus.
