That came from left field. I'd like to hear from members on how the f+f is before pulling the trigger, though

I'm really interested in this one. I've never owned an Urban but love the UKPK...and S90V is all that I could ask for in this package.
So it goes.

That’s a lot of money for an Urban but if Maniago has the F&F down it could really be a great knife. I will probably take a chance on one. Thanks for the link.

Looks nice but not worth the $ to me. I'll stick with the two I have but rarely carry

EDIT: When I posted this ^ earlier I didn't realize this was a G10 version. That makes the price more reasonable for me. It's tempting but I'll still have to pass. I have a G10 Urban and several knives with red G10 (including the HH UKPK). I'm sure it'll be great for those who do get one

I compared the specs with the standard production N690Co version, and it appears that this exclusive uses thinner blade stock, 2.3mm vs 3mm…

I’m still happy with my larger UKPK and will pass.

That is a nice combination and I may have to get one of these. The only thing that really bugs me is the inconsistent blade length on the Urban. The 2.61" of the K390 and before has now gotten to below 2.5" on the new N690 versions. Not only that, but the angle of the thumb ramp has changed, too. It is not as nice to hold. However, given Maniago's hit and miss history, I am anxious to see if this one is as nice as they have the ability to make it. If it is, it will be a winner.

Is it the same red g10 as the UKPK? This red almost looks a bit darker, leaning more towards maroon/burgundy and I really like it.

I am very tempted.... BUT does this have the new metal d-shaped "sleeve" to keep the pivot screw from spinning?

Has that ever been an issue with G10 scales?

I wonder if that's a rolling change or just a one-off. I measured my G10/VG10 Urban and it's 3mm. However, my FRN/K390 Urban is 2.85mm

It can be. A d-shaped hole in g10 can still deform, the metal d-shaped sleeve/post is essential in alleviating a spinning pivot screw issue. Especially when you're dealing with 1 screw and a post vs 2 screws and a barrel spacer. Also the older g10 urban had the 2 pivot screws instead of just 1.
