As soon as I get mine the first thing I'll do is disassemble the knife and post pictures. I must say I don't have high hopes for mine hearing all these complaints. I mostly just care whether the pivot screw spins in place or not like the frn version

The HH Urban, (or Squeak XL) definitely has D shaped pivot and screw posts.

Overall I’m happy with it, but my belief that Maniago has the lowest quality F&F remains.
That's my impression too. Which is weird because the F&F on all my other Maniago slip joints (Viper, Fox, MKM) are totally top notch.

Got mine today...Wow the blade really is short! It was quite noticeable in use when compared back to back with the K390 version cutting up a few boxes.

Also as mentioned Maniago's F&F leaves something to be desired. Aside from the backspring not being flush, the machining of the G10 isn't as clean as the Seki example I have, and doesn't have the nice chamfered edges.

Notice the difference in the crispness of the clip cutouts and lack of chamfered edges.

On a positive note it is ground on the thinner side @ ~0.013" BTE and is pretty slicey.

Seing this picture makes me so sad. I can’t believe what they did to my beloved Urban 😡
My elder daughter lives in UK and bought one for my birthday but this is going to be a bitter gift for me. I wish I knew they decided to shorten the blade but on the official Spyderco web site the Urban is listed as having a 2.61 inch blade. Good job Spyderco !

Yeah, it kinda breaks my heart to see this, Marius. I love the Urban, but this is going the wrong way when we have bee complaining about the quality issues and wanting the K390 blade length.

Definitely a bummer that they neutered the Urban and didn't update the specs.

Also regarding advertised specs...

I compared the specs with the standard production N690Co version, and it appears that this exclusive uses thinner blade stock, 2.3mm vs 3mm…

I measured it @ 2.88mm same as the K390 and AEB-L (don't have an N690Co but I assume it's the same thickness) Seki is 3mm.

Mine arrived today. Backspacer is not quite flush. The G-10 is perhaps 1/16" higher than the metal. Not a functional issue at all, for me. The action is good, although a bit different in feel to the UKPK (I'd say the UKPK has more 'snap' to it).

I'm very happy with this knife. :)

Mine still hasn't even made it to the states...I guess I should start becoming concerned.
So it goes.

I spent today chasing around a USPS package that was supposed to be delivered to my home two weeks ago. The people at the post office 'couldn't find it' and filed a trouble ticket. They called me a few hours later saying they'd 'found' it somewhere, and would deliver it on Monday.

USPS is so much fun. It's like a lottery system, with random prizes arriving at random intervals. :)

Got mine today from a CC member on eBay…faster shipping and a cheaper price than buying from HH. Fit and finish quality is not as good as the HH Spyderco UKPK including the G10 texture of the scales which is way poorer on the Urban compared to the HH UKPK.

My AEB-L Urban needed a lot of work before I could carry it. Had to file down the nub on the finger choil because the tip of the knife stuck up past the handle when closed, I noticed when I reached in my pocket and it cut me. Filing down the nub allowed the tip to sit lower in the handle when closed. Also had to file down a sharp spot on the spydie hole, which also cut me. Other than that it's a fun knife and steel.

Mine still shows leaving the UK and hasn't updated since 6/29.

HH responded to my inquiry, saying that if it doesn't show up by 7/27 they will refund the purchase.
So it goes.

Mine is still stuck in Chicago as well. I really am beginning to wonder??? Surely customs isn’t THIS slow for such a small package from a well known U.K. retailer?

There's actually a Facebook group that's dedicated to getting a Portillos in Dallas. Oh how I miss their Beef & Cheddar Croissant. I'd take a beef and sausage too.

There's a place in Grapevine called Weinbergers that's pretty darned good too
