It's gonna be a lightweight lockback with a wire clip. At least the Proto was at Blade Show.

Love to hear it. Was it an LC200N Salt model?
Nope. I do not recall if the blade was marked, but the handle was black.

Is the Caribbean the only comp lock Salt around?

Seems like the back lock might be better suited to amphibious activities. Perhaps the spring steel of the comp lock is expensive to replace with a rust proof alloy? Curious to hear what other people think as it’s clearly not limited by factory as Seki, Taichung, and Golden all produce various Salt models.

I feel the LC200N is inevitable, whether it be a LW or not. A small comp lock like the LW Lil’ Native would be the only knife like it in Spyderco’s lineup.

For me personally, if they did a single liner like the Para 3 and the clip from the back lock I think it would be an awesome knife. Yes I know the spoon clip would make it left handed only, but if they switched it to tip down like the Military I think it would work very well.

If they made the back lock with a wire clip I’d definitely get one (in G10, that is)

I'd say baclock. Haven't had the chance to test this knife yet but if the backlock is as solid than on the N5, well there is no doubt.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.
