I hope that it’s a Military. It has been a while since we had one and this blade steel just seems made for it.

For a very first I hope it is the mule. As for a folder it will be any of the three - pm2, native 5 or manix lw.

I'm in for a mule, a shaman, and a Millie. When was the last time we saw a Millie sprint? Or just Millies in stock anywhere...?

I hope its a big fixed blade like the Province, since stainlessness and toughness are usually hard to find together in this category.

Honestly, I really don't care what model it is, as long as Spyderco hopefully makes it a regular production knife, and not a dealer exclusive.

It would be a real shame for such a magnificent steel (on paper) to be relegated into a dealer exclusive and limiting the number of people who are willing to actually use the steel in real life, versus collectors who will just make this their instagram/safe queens.

I like the idea of MagnaCut fixed blades or kitchen knives a lot and it’d make sense if it was first offered as a mule.

I don't have a favorite Spyderco. I like my BD1N Para 3 a lot. I carried a Spyderco small Persian for several years it is a fun odd knife designed by Ed Schempp. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... r-75mm/204

That would be incredible. I'm super excited to try out some SE MagnaCut, I just hope it comes as an option on something, let alone something as cool as a Persian.

MagnaCut releases in order:

1st - Mule Team 43

2nd - Shaman with Special Edition $100 bill paper Micarta scales.

3rd - Delica 4 as the modern stainless upgrade the D4 so badly needs/deserves.

Magnacut is going to be a high demand steel, hence low availability to start. Low availability means higher prices, usually. So it is unlikely it will shipped overseas, so China, Taiwan, Japan, and Italy are out. At least at first. So a US made knife is most likely, and one that doesn't use up too much steel in any one piece. It also has to have broad appeal. So PM2, P3, or N5 are the most obvious models. That's my reasoning, at least. Spyderco could surprise us with a new model in the new steel, which would be very cool, however unlikely.

The above speculation is for the first production model, not the very first release which I still think will be the Mule. Mules are made in Taiwan these days, I think, so I could be very wrong as to where the first production folder comes from.

Yeah there was a custom Sebenza at Blade I heard for like $4k and then Knife Center had it on their site for $6k which is so incredible to me, that knife would have to have jigged bone handle inlays made from Chris Reeve's rib bones for me to pay that much for a folder, but hey that's just me :D
