LC200N Dragonfly

#1

Post by sethwm »

I know this has been asked before but I figure the more it’s asked the more likely it is to happen.

When will we see an LC200N Dragonfly? I’d buy 4 of them myself! Neon green handle please!

We are all impatiently waiting. I think we will see them in the next Reveal.

this is a df2 i'd have to go for. if they made a blackout version, even better.

Blacked out like a Pac Salt then I’m in. The green scales are a no go for me.

Fingers are crossed that they release a Wharncliffe version alongside the standard config.

Salt 2 SE Wharncliffe has been one of my favorite carries this year and would love to have that slicing capability in the DF2 package. Would become my default IWB carry for running.

It seems pretty much inevitable, just takes time. I bet we see Ladybug/Manbug versions too.

well we were told the salt series was getting the lc200n treatment. Since there are dragonfly salts, I believe we'll see them at some point... its only a matter of time. like Evil D said.

at one point, there was talk about the whole golden lineup getting lc200n too. it was just going to be another production run of those models with a different handle color like s100v has. not sure what happened to that or if it was just unsubstantiated rumors. i've stopped waiting for a manix salt, but i'll almost surely buy one if they are ever made available. actually, the only reason i wouldn't buy one is if i end up getting a pe leaf caribbean first.

dragonfly in pe lc200n is a sure buy for me though.

ill probably end up with 1 of each like the H1 version but, SE for me is most likely for me.

i prefer se too, but because of that, i always carry a large se blade like my caribbean or pac salt. the df2 would be a small pe secondary carry for me.

The neon green LC200N Dragonfly Salt SE is the one I've been waiting for, too. And I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in any of the Blade Show 2021 YouTube videos I saw. I know it's coming, hopefully soon. When it does arrive, if there's a blackout blade version (Iike the little USN Ladybug hawkbill) as well as satin option even better.

Am I wrong for thinking this could be the spiritual successor to the orange handled VG10 dragonfly
as in a sheeple friendly, low-maintenance but very effective knife ?

AKA the one that gets people hooked and takes them down the rabbit-/Spydie-hole.

And as before, probably going to be an instabuy for me.
Not going to replace my H1 Hawkbill, but there's always room for another dragonfly.

I didn’t think I needed a Dragonfly until I read this.

Can't see this being something I'd buy. LC doesn't have amazing edge holding and I am happy with my hawkbill D'fly for dirty work where rust resistance is important to me.

I’m resurrecting an old thread, but it was my thread so I’m allowed. :)

In another thread I can’t find sal said folks were working on this. I’m curious if this is still in the works. Blacked out or satin, I’d be all over this.

Edit: found it! viewtopic.php?t=82552#p1296898

Hi Sailhand,

It has it' challenges but we're working on it.

Funny that the design is 25 years old.
