Got mine today. Maybe already mentioned somewhere already. But a satin version is coming.

You’re welcome. But you’ll probably be the one telling me when it releases… :bug-red

Hi folks I just got mine and want to add my impression of the scales=they are breathtaking! The shimmery reflection of the carbon almost blocks out the lightest color blue in person. And the texture is so silky soft. Fat carbon is very cool imho.

Nice pictures! But I agree, that it's really hard to capture the beauty of these scales with pictures. The best way is to film it with a short 10 seconds video of the sunlight reflecting off of it.

Just like how those SMKW guys were showing it off the day before the drop on their YouTube video.

The first picture is my favorite..those scales are amazing in the sun. I keep staring at mine and looks different every time I look at it. It looks like you ended up with at least 4 of them haha based on the pics. This one they knocked out of the park as far as I'm concerned! It rocks!
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

Great that they're going to make a satin version, seems like there are a good lot of people who wanted this knife but did not manage to get one. And of course, there are those who prefer uncoated tool steels versus coated ones so it's a good move by SMKW!

I hope that for the next drop SMKW would have fixed the issues with their checkout system where certain individuals managed to score more than the 2 knife limit.

Thanks! You did a great job of showing the shimmer... just thought I'd throw my standard pics in the pile with another example, trying to show the depth. It really is a hard one to photograph, similar to marbled CF.

Still not sure if it's ugly or pretty, but I like it and it's a great excuse to get an M4 PM2 back in my pocket :clinking-mugs

The one in the top pic...I gave to my best friends Wife. She's had it in her pocket ever since!!!

White G10 is a terrible idea if that's what their coming up with. White in other kinds of materials may work, but that's a dangerous color to have if it's going to actually be used.

It'll appeal to the dye crowd, and someday will be one of those secondary market unicorns because so many will get dyed, and because finding one that's clean bright white that hasn't been used will be rare.
Good point David. Though I wonder with it being an exclusive, a lot of people are afraid to even adjust a pivot screw or change a pocket clip, let alone actually take the knife apart and dye the scales. But yes, I could definitely see anything kept pristine white being a flippers dream over time.

I only mention that about the white scales because my buddy at work has that white BM Bugout and the scales look terrible after he carried it for around a month or so. Granted he gets into some nasty stuff here at work that the average person doesn't encounter, but it's definitely not an appealing knife these days.
Half of the people in this country do not even know what a collector or sprint run knife is. I am willing to bet 70% of these knives will end up dyed, used, and abused in the coming years.
