Now that the DLT exclusive has been revealed, this one is probably one of the most anticipated left...

I'll give it the obligatory {BUMP}

Has anyone heard anything further? I've looked around their IG & website and haven't come across anything...

I thought about this earlier and forgot to come back and see of there's been any other info. I guess we just wait and see...

SMKW just released a teaser video of the upcoming exclusive which will be released on 8/24. Judging by the brief Spyderco bug picture it looks like it’s going be a fat carbon fiber “arctic storm” handled para 2.

I can't knock the PM2 runs. It makes sense from the point of view of the dealer, because I have trouble remembering the last PM2 run that didn't sell out fast. It makes sense to people who haven't bought a PM2 yet, but keep hearing about it. And it makes sense to people who try to buy every PM2 they can get their hands on. I have to admit that middle ground--people who own enough PM2s to feel blasé about buying any more--is probably pretty rare, even though I'm one of them.

Yeah I probably won't be up for this one. Love the PM2 but I don't really need any more unless it's something special

I'm excited for it! Could be anything. Exotic steel,different colored dlc coating, scales we haven't seen yet. Blade could be etched or have a design on it. I still get excited about new releases esp exclusives, but I'm also with the people that are thinking oh its another pm2 with just different colored handles on it in a steel we have seen many times before. I try and see it this way, it gives those that might have missed out on an exclusive before in a steel they wanted, or for those that finally found the perfect scale color and blade combo they've been looking for. The pm2 is timeless in my opinion, so many different flavors of it too that I personally can't get bored with it. Yet anyway! haha
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

I’m excited for it too. More so now that I know the model. The PM2 is already a model that I know I like to use. It’ll come down to looks for me rather than materials. I just want to see it before I hype myself up too much about it.

Will it make me cancel my PM2 micarta preorder, is my only question? It would have to be something special.

I am kinda wearing out my 20CV and M390 models (edges are getting shorter due to frequent sharpening), so maybe there’s room for both?

It is definitely a FatCarbon PM2. Definitely a really cool material for PM2 collectors, especially since the scales will be OEM made.

I agree, this is how I feel as well. For me to buy another PM2, it will have to be something really special. The Copper Exclusive from BHQ and the CO Flag PM2 Sprint fit that description for me. I do like that this will be their first model using FatCarbon but that's not enough to push the needle for me.

(If it were a Lil Native, well that would be a different story! :cheap-sunglasses )
