i just got the newest issue of Tactical Knives and in the front few pages theres an ad for a brand new model ! FRN handle, 2 blade styles, boyd dent, whistle in the handle.....i'm suprised nobody has a pic or post about it yet ? <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Lady,

I think that's the new Rescue, but I'm not sure. Whistle, glass-breaking spike and all. Not really my style.

I got one. your fore finger really contours the blade. the whistle is ok but not my style . the knife is bigger than i thought it would be but i will hold one to this one for awhile.

It's the Spyderco Assist I and II. Boy, this knife is so ugly I eventually finished by wanting to get one (the one with Wharncliffe blade) <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

That would be a Sheepsfoot blade, dialex.

It is closer to a Wharncliffe, with excellent penetration power. Definitely not a safety point like the Rescue's sheepsfoot.

I fully understand the need for a sheepsfoot blade, but I preffer a bit of stabbing potential to my knives. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
