BladeHQ Exclusive Smock - Natural G10 and M4

Been wanting a Smock for some time now. While I'm not in love with the scale color, I do like the blade steel choice. Might have to bite the bullet.

I too have been waiting to find one again in stock to play with for a few more minutes than the first time I saw one but I was not looking for that knife at that time. Like others I an not crazy about the black scales they come with on the original. These natural scales don't excite me at all but being able to dye them a slight blue and with M4 steel I am going to buy one of these if I can.

T the regular production version has carbon fiber scales. The one I have (that I showed you a picture of) is a dealer exclusive with black G10 and 20CV steel. The BHQ one is a great choice if you want to dye the scales

Do you have any tips for successfully checking out at BladeHQ during these drops?

Log into the website 10-15 minutes beforehand and get ready to mash f5 when the clock hits zero.

I noticed this on the lil native drop, but if you have the knife in your wishlist, you can sometimes add it to your cart from the wishlist before it goes live on the site. I was able to do this 1-2 minutes before the drop with the lil native and it was how I purchased the first PM2 tanto (added it from wishlist even though it said out of stock on the product page the day after the drop).

About 182USD...plus tax would amount to 190+something...still not bad for M4! I love M4 in hollow grind from the Bradley and it would be interesting to try it in the Smock...might try for this one!

I'll be interested to see how fast this clears out, IIRC, neither the DLT exclusive or the preceding Knifejoy version were website crashing, instant sell-outs, so hopefully all that try will be able to get one.

Meanwhile, I'm over here trying to tell myself I don't need a third Smock :o

The website was pretty slow on my computer but I was able to order one on my phone's browser.

After ordering the KJ 20CV PM2 and a DLC SE Autonomy yesterday, I think I better take a break from knife purchases unless the CruCarta PM2 or REC Shamen appear
