Mine arrived from Cutlery Shoppe today, but I’m so exhausted from cleaning the lanai floor of carpet mastic. Tip, if you want to send blessings into the future, don’t use mastic to glue down outdoor carpet. In fact, please don’t install outdoor carpet. 🤬🤣

Its pretty dang awesome. I'm sitting here braiding out a lanyard fob for it right now. I really like the way it fits the hand; I have something I'm going to try based on a discussion at the SFO today too with some hockey tape. TBD for a bit until I get the tape.

Question for Spyderco, are you going to sell the sheaths separate? I'd like to set a few up for a few different ways of carry if possible.

And done with new fob. Might take 1 or 2 knots out. See how it carries this coming week.

That’s an interesting question. I love the knife, but I’m not about to carry anything around my neck… so that’s a problem that needs to be solved when I eventually get the knife.

As much as I wish for a Spyderco belt sheath option, I don’t really expect to see one, at least not very soon.

Before I start adding holes and stuff I want to make sure I can get another. Me and making things usually dont go well....so I like to have spares. Plus if it does work then I want to make a few different options for carry that I can just grab. Scout carry, pocket carry, small of the back, appendix etc. I can see me carrying this lots of ways. I need lots of sheaths though...lol
FYI the clip part from the Mule team sheath looks to fit the 2 holes at the bottom of the sheath already.

I did holes in kydex with Victorinox Soldier spike tool. But I think small Ulticlip will work fine even with one hole on kydex.

I'm planning to drill a hole and add an ulticlip to mine whenever I order one.

too big. the spew is kind of big for a neck knife and it's smaller than the sea snake.

I picked up both the satin and black versions of this knife. I couldn't pick one haha. The black blade looks amazing in person! I really like how all the lettering pops on it. I chose to actually use the satin for now to test. I didn't want to put the black one through its paces just yet. I received it on Tuesday from sfo and it's been around my neck since. Initial thoughts are good! I've slept with it on, showered, went to work, done all my daily tasks and there it still hangs. The sheath does an excellent job retaining the knife and is a very minimalist design. It doesn't seem to twist and lays very flat against my chest. I previously used an ark and the updated sheath with the safety lever made it a bit bulky and harder to conceal and wear comfortably. I chose to not add a lanyard, even the 550 cord tied in just a single knot took away the ability of concealment with my body type. I think it's a homerun so far! It's very comfortable to wear, the sleep test really surprised me. The handle feels a bit cheap, but it's sleek, lightweight and slim, and that's the point! I think I just keep comparing it to my satin streetbeat haha love that little guy. You definitely get that vibe holding it other than the handle feel. It's plenty of blade, balanced, and very well made for the money in my opinion. I can definitely see the work and thought that went into this one, especially the sheath. I would tell anyone on the fence to go ahead and grab one. You absolutely will not be disappointed!
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

Pretty cool! This thing is very compact. As with the Jester and Ladybug 2-- I like it best with 2 beads on the fob-- makes for a solid grip even with large hands.

Nice! I took 2 knots off my fob, it looks to match the 2 beads that you use. I've carried 2 days now and I really like it. I want a second one. And more sheaths ;)

Nice!

It really is cool how compact the whole package is. By contrast the Mora Eldris (which i also like but is totally different) has a great full grip, but short blade and bulky package ( i got a belt sheath loop for mine).

Sure. Here ya go. It is much slimmer and more compact than the Eldris, with a longer blade.

I picked up the satin finished one. I found that the edge bevel on this one was probably 20+ degrees per side. I used the Sharpmaker and flattened them down to 20 dps for an easier touch-up in the future.

I wondered if the ball chain would hold the sheath without breaking when you tug on the knife. The guys in the SFO said, “tug away,” and it works great.

The blade is made of pretty thick stock for such a small knife. It has a real solid feeling.

With our rainy weather lately, it’s going to be an LC200N week.
