Here is my Native 5 Salt poolside. This is a new knife for me, but I will enjoy taking it along on my beach, lake, pool, and fishing trips! Good luck everyone! :spyder:

Spyderco mule with some Rosewood scales. Slowly heading to a fixed blade the Mule Team gave me a way to personalise a Spyderco edge and steel. My first full from block of wood to knife. With plenty of help from the forums mule team that has given advice, tutorials and boat loads of encouragement.
What steel and handle is next....

Happy to have the chance to participate again this year, thanks Spyderco. Pictured here is a sampling of user spyderco knives in my rotation. Art time with my son morphed into candy time which led us to contest time! We created this colorful candy spyder-bug to keep the knives company as they continue to perform and inspire.

Best of luck to all who enter, health and happiness.

I was working up a few feathersticks with my freshly scaled Mule in Spy27 as the sun was setting. (Ironwood scales with brass pins and a boiled linseed oil finish) I had the jump up on the roof of my truck to get this angle as the sun was setting to snap this pic. It was a perfectly dead calm evening and one of those nights that was pretty much perfect.

Great pic regardless but the knife and wood/feathersticks were edited into the background right?

Nope. This is straight out of my phone the evening I took the pic. Just the phone app color correction and downsized for the forum.

I was standing on the roof of my truck holding the log in my left hand while stretching out the right as far as I could to get that angle. Some great light, a little bit of luck, quite a few snaps of trial and error, and some interesting contortions to reach and make it all come together.

Among all the spydercos, Dragonfly is definitely my favorite. I own 13 DF and am still keeping them all. I love the overall design and also the variety of steel choices. The one I share in my submission is the ZDP189 version and it is the first dragonfly I own. After this one, I have got the VG10, H1, Superblue, hap40,....... all the way to the recent cpm 20cv and cruwear. I carry and use at least one of my dragonflies every day. Today I used my ZDP189 to cut up a bunch of hay for my little pet rabbit's dinner. As I love DF so much, I think I will continue to buy more and more. I hope the next dragonfly I get is in Lc200n😁

The actual size of your photo should be ok. As long as you don't zoom and crop too much. It's the DPI that will need adjusted. My iPhoneX is only 75dpi. But you can use a photo resizer to get to 300dpi. If you are unsure about your pic though, I can help. You can pm me if you want and I can do the sizing/formatting for you.

Greetings all! This year I am submitting an older photo. Pictured is the C10ZFPOR CutleryShoppe Hap40 exclusive Zome Endura. It is my favorite iteration of the model. The brightly colored, lightweight, and bi-directional textured frn combine with the ultra premium laminated steel to make one heck of a high performance matter separator. The Zome dye also adds a very cool and unique touch that I really like too.

One evening I was helping with dinner prep in the kitchen and noticed cool reflections in a stainless steel mixing bowl. So put the Endura I was using in the bowl and took a few pictures. This was my favorite. I almost posted it as an entry two years ago, but waffled and changed my submission at the last moment. I’ve always loved this picture and have often wondered if it was calendar material. So this year I am submitting it with hopes that I will finally know for sure.

Fingers and toes crossed! Good luck all! :bug-red

Thanks, that was very helpful. I didn't realize you could upscale like that. I read a bit about it and I think I understand. If I snap a photo that I want to submit and I have trouble with it, I'll be sure to PM you. Thanks!

Model: Police C07 Stainless SE

As time marches on, all things become outdated but I'll always have some love for brushed stainless steel. It's cold and sterile and unapologetically effective despite being "obsolete" by each new generation.
