According to Lance, the Military 2 is a compression lock model. He mentioned a number of other juicy ones such as a PM2 Salt and a reverse S PM2 (which is one of the many PM2 blade variants I saw at OKCA), straight spine Shaman as well as a FRN Shaman, and some cool new models from Paul Alexander, Butch Valloton and that flipper Techno 3 from Marcin Slysz.

Sorry to steal any of your thunder in announcing this Lance, but I know a bunch of us are waiting for details like these to drop from you lucky attendees! :)

Gads! What with all these blade shapes within a given Spydie model, I think I need to realign with Spyderco what I should be recognizing as hallmarks of that model.

What does a straight spine shaman entail? I'm a little confused. Clip blade instead of drop point?

Can anyone please give some details on the Schempp Priceless?
Like a bigger, nicer Khukri without the large choil/ricasso. Handle was rounded wood/brass(?), blade shape closer to the Chinese Folder than the Khukri - maybe 3.6"-3.75" length. Knife felt a little more "prototype" than "production sample". As someone who loved the Khukri and Barong, I'm very excited for the Priceless.
That’s awesome I can’t wait to see it! I appreciate your description. Thanks.

Sal and Eric, you guys gotta bring out that micro jimbo! Really captures the original ronin in spirit. Pleas make it with the wire clip. Also, the mini p’kal was really sweet.

Keep it up guys! Enjoy the ATL

Can anyone share any more information about the Mini Yojimbo? Was it a production version of the Chicagojimbo or was it a whole new design? Either way, I hope the blade is 2.5" or less.

Did Spyderco have a knife pin? I collect them, didn’t see anyone post this year about one.

Different design! I kid you not, take a an original ronin blade shrink to delica size, put spydie hole in it, taper ed handle like yojimbo 1 and 2, but delica size! Really nice, What I envisioned when I inquired about a yo min bo or such.

Enjoyed BLADE the past 2 days, but going to skip tomorrow. Stopping by the Spyderco booth is my 1st priority. The upcoming ParaMilitary 2 LW and Temperance 3 LW were among my favorites in the pre-production Area 51 display. Played with the Ikuchi again, and it will probably be my next Spyderco. But at this point in my life my knife buying is slowing down. A bit of my enjoyment this year was seeing my oldest son (who inherited the knife-nut gene) check out some small Spyderco fixed blades for work use. I also enjoying watching a close friend's young son be overwhelmed as this was his 1st BLADE show. It's still about the knives, but the people I've met through the show have become just as important.

Surprised to see so much frn. Lightweight must really be getting popular these days. I wear heavy carhart pants so I don’t really care about weight these days, LOL
