next step for the enuff...?

#1

Post by ladybug93 »

this quote came a while back regarding spyderco frn scales. it definitely made my ears perk up at the time.

CQI (Constand Quality Improvement) demands that we pay attention. For example, we tooled up for the "Enuff" model scales. The Enuff with the shorter thicker blade has not been popular enough to maintain inventory (except in the serrated H1 version). We've retooled a blade to fit the current scales. 4" long and thinner blade stock with a new FRN sheath also being tooled. As the market develops and our particular market grows, The future is always challenging for which to prepare.

has anyone heard more news about this new fixed blade model that might replace the enuff? i still want an enuff and a street beat to compare, but i'd really love a leaf blade in lc200n with green frn scales, even at the current enuff size.

I'm very interested in the longer, thinner version. I'll be watching this thread closely.

I’d be all over this. That handle suits me really well and it sounds like they want to address the main issues I had with the knife. I’m in!

I have the serrated H1 version and it is a workhorse for diving. Glad to see they are tweaking this great little knife.

i was hoping that sal might chime in and give an update.

not to hijack my own thread, but does anyone have any input on a street beat vs an enuff? i like the handle and blade shapes of the enuff more, but i like the blade length and coating on the street beat. it's a tough call.

This should be cool. I have been curious about the Enuff-- but turned off by the fat blade stock.

The things I don´t like on the Enuff: Blade a bit too short, blade stock too fat.
So the longer and thinner version will be perfect for me! :)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

We have a new version of the Enuff 2 being prototyped with a 4.0" 3mm thick leaf blade.

sal
maybe i'll just wait for this one. i actually think i'd like the regular enuff also, but this sounds more versatile and useful.

I've approved the prototype. I know I'm biased, but it's a nice little knife.

that's exciting. i was hoping to see it in the past reveal, but i'm definitely not complaining... so many teeth. :D

i can't wait to see it. any specs to share? 4" blade? 3mm stock? lc200n? green frn scales? same three blade shapes as the enuff? :)

Can’t wait for this one. I’ll buy as many lc200n fixed blades as I can cram in my knife roll.

You could say, I’ll never have enuff :D
