I feel like in that photo, the orange looks much closer to the Rex45 burnt orange version of this knife than the typically hyper bright Cutlery Shoppe exclusives.

Yikes! Absolutely awesome configuration. I think I prefer my micarta handle but visually that stonewash blade takes the cake.

i love stonewashed blades. unfortunately, i'd rather have just about any other model than the shaman. i'm sure it's a fine knife, but i'm running on principle at this point and i strongly prefer the manix anyway.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

This is interesting.

Can anyone tell me how corrosion resistance and edge retention is compared to the standard S30V model?

I’ve never owned or used a knife with CTS-XHP so I have nothing judge it against.

It looks like they are using the "stonewash" finish which is on the base/standard S30V model Shaman, I'm really glad to see that, I wish it would get used more.

I don't have any first hand experience with xhp either, but I believe the consensus is it has slightly better edge retention, slightly worse corrosion resistance and toughness is a push compared to s30v.

I've seen Sal refer to it as "stainless D2" on a couple of occasions.

CS has had quite few exclusive drops, including 2 Shamans, while regular stock is dwindling.
