Lego mods

Budget customization idea - lego parts as lanyard ends, lanyard tube caps and standoffs. In the first and the second case you don’t need to do anything with them. To make standoffs some file work and sanding is needed.

I love it!

My kids would love it too. I think I may have to mod some knives to give them. Thanks for posting this!

The lanyard ends are brilliant. If I can get ahold of some of those pieces (without buying a whole set; I think individual pieces used to be available from Lego), I'll implement that idea.
Regular carrier: zome green Delica 4
Occasional/situational carrier: Dragonfly 2 with Wharncliffe blade
Display only: Manbug with Wharncliffe blade, Dragonfly 2 with Wharncliffe blade, zome green Delica 4

i should put some of these on my m2lw since everyone says that knife feels like a lego brick anyway. (i happen to disagree and think it's great, personally.)

thanks for posting.

Love the idea! When used as standoffs - do you tap the legos? Does the screw just cut a groove into the plastic? Just wondering how to keep the screws from loosening and backing out?

Nice idea but no thanks! I stepped on my share of Legos when my kids were small. They're no banned from my house.

Only kidding I still love Legos. We we even took some kids to the Legoland by us

No! These knives do have threaded tubes for screws from factory, i just pressed legos onto them.
Edit: in case of Dodo originally it has aluminum standoff over simple stainless tube, Lum has a backspacer which seats on d-shaped tubes
