There is just something about damascus with frn scales that I don't really care for. If the damascus was paired with higher end materials like titanium, wood, or carbon fiber then it would look much better. That said, the damascus listed is VG-10 so I imagine the performance would be similar to a base delica, however it has a full flat grind.

Carbon fiber would be awesome

I bought one for my uncle 2 Christmas's ago. I only handled it three very brief times but that Damascus made me feel fancy like a ruby each time! Obviously i didn't use it so i have no clue how it performs. Definitely a cool little knife though. :spyder:

109 for a user VG-10 damascus Delica is a pretty good deal.

I had the green handled version of this. Sold it to fund another knife purchase a while back. But would recommend it.

Yeah, a sweet looking Damascus blade and then FRN scales, that really is a big fat mismatch......

i actually like the blue handle as well. i chose this version because i like the damascus look better on the saber grind and i thought the zome looked cool with the damascus.

I have the Knifejoy Endura, and I consider it just a little fancier version of the base model. It’s begging for a set of flytanium brass scales but I’m not sure I want to double the cost of the knife just yet lol

I have the Delica version. The blue on the scales is very nice so mine will remain stock.

I really like the blue too, so chances are mine will stay stock too. In hindsight, the way I worded my initial reply seems to discredit the stock scales; in actuality I really do like the color and texture. For those who want to upscale their scales ;) there are plenty of options!

Agreed. For those who wish to upgrade, it is a great model for that.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. :) I stand by my previous statement. If I live to see another Damasteel Spydie, I sure hope it comes with scales that are not FRN.
