S-3 is right, when I search for K390 there are similar modified knives at KP. Higher priced due to the dye job and hardware mods.
So if its real then it's from KP?

I'm no expert, but it appears to be real, however it was modified by the previous owner, not KP. That means no warranty for you.

Although I've heard that their warranty used to be quite harsh.

You should call Spyderco to verify, of course, I was under the impression that a knife with modifications like acid washing and stone washing a blade would void the warranty. I could be wrong, so call or email Spyderco.
The sharpie should be a non issue.

It's just acid. K390 patinas anyway.

I don't know whether or not it is fake, but I certainly wouldn't be calling it new, if he's been acid etching it. It also has an aftermarket clip.
Agreed, a straight out of the box is $131.50 , the one I found acid etched and changed clip was $160? How much you pay for it ? Seller have a return policy?
117 without tax and shipping and 129.75 with. It was an auction
The knife looks legit, just modded.. I think there is general agreement with that statement at this point. The Endura K390 is $133 normally.. +/- $20 for the Lynch clip.. the acid wash is I guess a modification that some people might pay for (not really my thing, potential warranty issues notwithstanding).. I think that if you are happy with the mods, then you got a pretty nice deal on that knife at $117..

That's what I think. Looked like a good deal. I think the clip is legit. It feels real in my hand. How easy are fakes to spot?

Taken apart, very modified , yeah, it's safe to say there will be no Spyderco waranty on it. The Boomer in me doesn't understand these things. :o

I thought spyderco started allowing knives that had been previously taken apart.
