What scale color for the upcoming MagnaCut sprint?

I am keen to see any of the blue, orange, or yellows displayed in Larrins' MagnaCut Poster worked into the first scale design.

Exactly. Since the promo materials are inspired by early 60s graphic design then tying in the scale color to that era would be pretty neat. Get that Howard Johnson's color palette dialed in.

If G-10 versions are also produced then I would love to see some blue-weave carbon fiber laminate versions of a Magnacut Police or Caly 3.5 ...those would be beautiful knives.

Also. if ZDP-189 is being discontinued then British Racing Green is really far too much of an awesome colour to be retired for Spyderco's FRN models ...and a new lineup of the Usual Suspects with FRN molds in Magnacut with BRG would be incredible. It would also keep BRG available for yet another stainless super steel once ZDP-189 is phased out from Spyderco's product line as it appears to be the case. Although maybe the CF Caly's and G-10 Stretch might stick around awhile longer?

Or if Magnacut gets BRG as its FRN colour then maybe a British Racing Green-weave carbon fiber laminate over G-10 would also look great on a knife scale?

I didn't think that the Red Weave-CF Domino scale turned out that great but the Blue Weave-CF Domino scales were really beautiful and then I never saw them again which was a little disappointing.

Red/orange/yellow zome, or some kind of layered contoured g10 configuration. The greatest steel discovery since powdered metals deserves a bit of flare and showmanship.

Back to topic, magenta would be right up there with pink and purple...not my thing. Just about anything else could work.

Black is always a safe choice. I'm partial to brown or forest green. I don't know if the British Racing Green is reserved for ZDP-189 but that'd be nice. I see calls for Micarta popping up in the thread, including green canvas. I'd definitely be on board for that.

What I absolutely don't want is a funky pastel color or something bright and eye-catching. The light blue and mint green I've seen on some recent models has been a real turn-off. As much fun as it might be to RIT dye them, I'd rather not buy it as a "project knife".

If I could add anything, I'd ask for something besides the usual models. Do a Sage 5 or Chaparral in MagnaCut.

Anything besides black G10. Manix, Chaparral or Sage 5 seem like good choices for the model. It’s almost certainly going to be another PM 2 in some boring black though.

I'd like to see the return of British Racing Green, as was also used for some of the first ZDP-189 models (now I remember the very first ZDP Caly 3 was a burgundy, but I'm partial to BRG).
