Are you going to Bladeshow 2021?

#1

Post by Candyman »

Less than two months away from the greatest knife show in the US and as always I’m curious what forumites I will get to chat with this year. I did see that Spyderco is once again on the vendor list so I’m very happy to see that.

Nah, I don't expect the event to be covid safe even a little bit. I'll wait until vaccination numbers are up.

The best part of the show for those that can't make it! As much as I would love to go, I would be going almost exclusively for the Spyderco booth. Maybe one of these years!

You've got to expand your horizons brother!! It's ok to be a loyal customer, but you're also missing out on A LOT of great stuff from other companies these days! Have always been hoping to see you in the "others" thread sometime :p

I definitely need to go too! I collect a lot of different manufacturers. If I went I'd be all over the place looking at knives, but I'd have to meet Sal, Eric and Michael Janich. The knives are excellent and the steels Spyderco uses are the best in the world.

I have a handful of knives from other brands but I'm so obsessed with Spyderco these days that I have trouble bringing myself to actually spend money on something that isn't. I see it as a blessing and a curse. LOL :D

I’ll be there!! Got an early bird pass yesterday, requested Friday off today and I’m trying to get an arm jab ASAP.

Spyderco gets all my folder attention and I’ll visit the prototype counter as much as all my other stops combined. That being said, there are several makers I’ll be considering for a fixed blade or two if I can pounce on something “fancy” right at the beginning.

Already got my first dose, but as someone high risk, I'd like to wait it out a bit longer before I start going to large gatherings, so Blade Show 2022 seems much more likely.

With that being said, I will be attending New York Custom Knife Show this year as long as it is safe to do so.

Alas, it is a long way to paddle a canoe and swimming is out of the question with my shoulder. I'll wait for the videos.

Still debating. I got both my shots and I'll decide in the next month or so.
