My wife is amazing!

#1

Post by TkoK83Spy »

As many of you regulars, or those that have been around long enough know...last year I was very lucky to have had an image of mine selected for this years forum calendar. It ended up getting disqualified because the specs wouldn't fit properly. Upon my selection I was very excited and honored and loved that my image was selected for the month of October (being a baseball fan, being called "Mr October" made it that much better!) Needless to say, I was pretty bummed once things didn't work out.

Little did I know she was really paying attention to everything going on with that. I got home from work today to find this hanging in my workout/knife room!! Granted it's not at the right angle, but she couldn't get it to fit properly with the calendar months (I guess this photo wasn't meant for calendars haha!!) Bad lighting makes the October section look faded.

I was so shocked and surprised that she did this for me! She's so very thoughtful and caring! She said I'm not just Mr October to her, I'm Mr Every Month haha!! I owe her big time, I'm very lucky to be able to call her mine! :)

I'm a tee shirt and jeans, black fitted hat kind of guy...very rare that I don't wear a hat, but thought that was a nice photo of us both looking fancy haha!

I've always been tempted to start a members photo thread, because I'd love to put a face to all the names of members I talk to regularly! But I know a lot of people like forums so they can remain anonymous.

I've thought about doing that, too. I'm not sure how many people would want to participate, but it'd be their choice, of course. It'd be great to put faces to names. Then again, I've definitely already got mental images of many of the regulars - it might really mess with my head if you all look totally different than I imagine you do! :D ;)

Haha, I know right!? I've seen photos of some members that for whatever reason my mental image was waaaayyyy off...though I appreciate knowing how they really look (not that it really matters, or changes what I think of them) I just think talking to people almost everyday of my life the past 3 years and obviously continuing on here in the future, it's nice to feel a bit more of a connection to them. I might bite the bullet and start one up tomorrow and hope others will join! It's not like we're giving out social security numbers and home addresses :p

This is really cool and a very nice and thoughtful gesture of her... take good care of her man, she must be a great woman, wife and partner! :)

Also, and I second Cambertree here: No secret that I love your very distinctive, "industrial" knife pics. You've really developed your own style here... :)

I know this feeling. Today is my 15th Anniversary being married. It’s that everyday stuff that makes it all worth it. Plus I got a spyderco for a gift this year. Man I love my wife.

Happy anniversary! A gifted knife from your love is always nice and sentimental! We've been together for 8 years, going on our 3rd year of marriage in June. Seems like just yesterday we met, time sure flys, but I wouldn't rather spend it with anybody else!
