Tough call between the Street Beat and Pac 2 SE, went with the Pacific because it carries a lot better in running shorts etc. and the SE is quite versatile.
There are a lot of knives I prefer to the Pacific Salt, but its the last one I'd part with.
There is some functional aspect that all of the above knives do better than the Mantra 2 which is why in concert I place them above the Mantra 2. The Mantra 2 doesn't do any one particular thing the best except carry which is why if I don't have any particular activity planned (hunting, fishing, etc.) The Jack of All Trades Mantra 2 will be in my pocket.

i know it's weird that the caribbean doesn't show up until the very end, but there's no manix salt yet. realistically, i'll probably always have a manix and a pacific salt, but if i had to only keep one spyderco, the caribbean is as close as i can get to a combination of my three favorite spydercos: manix 2, pacific salt, and yojimbo. also, i didn't count my vintage ladybug in this mix. i'm not getting rid of it. it's a good thing i don't have to do this exercise for real. :D
I’ll bury em in the back yard, hide them in the walls, under the floorboards, on top of the ceiling tiles at work, in the AC vents. But I won’t go down to one knife!

If some clown told me I had to give him all but five of my knives, I'd take the biggest one and give him a harsh lesson in the repercussions for infringing on others' private property rights. Nevertheless, I'll still play the game and I'll tell you why each one made it into the picture.
Ladybug K390 is there because it's crazy small. I carry it when pocket space and weight are at a premium. It's usually reserved for mountain bike adventures.
Dragonfly VG10 is there because it's a usable size, can fit in the bottom of a pocket, and the color matches my wife's '65 Mustang.
Manix 2 REX45 because the size is close to perfect, it carries well in almost all clothing, CBBL is the shizz, and REX45.
Manix 2 XL M4, although a a little big for some clothes, is very nice in the hand, offers more blade length, and CPM-M4.
Mule SPY27 because the blade is intriguing, and I'm just having fun with it.
There you have it: five knives that can serve virtually all my needs.
Man, this is tough because they are not necessarily the 5 I carry or use the most, but I would pick based on serving 5 different needs, then go from there. I've also already done this twice in my Spyderco journey selling off two-thirds or three quarters of my collection leaving me with only a few knives, and it certainly is tough narrowing it down! I had bad sellers remorse on a few and have re-aquired them. The H1 Spyderhawk most notably.

Great choice - if it only were bigger (for being the ONLY knife) - I so hope Sal will look into a Chap XL eventually...

Not sure I care about other Spydies enough at the moment to add more than three. If I had to then I'd probably add a Sage 5 LW, Chaparral LW, Caribbean SE, or Delica/Salt SE. Or maybe a Para 3 Wharncliffe or PM2 wharn SE if Cutlery Shoppe gets them.
