Cuttlery Shoppe is about to drop a DLC Shaman in CTS-XHP and I haven't heard anything on here!

I scored the Z wear so I am pretty content, but I love me some XHP so I thought I'd give the good folks a heads up on here.

Is the Shaman the new PM2 for insane sell out speed of exclusives and sprints? I really hope so. Now, maybe I'll be able to buy a PM2! :)

I would expect a similar pattern as with PM2. First for a while just dealer exclusives and sprint runs, before we get a non limited run in Cruwear / Micrta (or similar combination). Makes business-wise more sense.

EDIT: The above might be misunderstood - with the 'Makes business-wise more sense' I meant, that it allows to figure out what kind of combination of materials would be best received by the market in a non-limited run. I assume that is how the PM2 in Cruwear/Micarta was conceived.

The comp lock is what makes the Shaman a big snoozer for me, too.

Understood we each got our own preferences...

To me the Shaman is one of the best beefy, everyday knives that Golden makes.
I was a big fan before any sprints or exclusives and carried the S30V version.
It's nice to see this knife get more attention and recognition with each new release.

So far I have three shamans: the TreeRex from Knifecenter, I got lucky with a Zwear, and my "beater".

For me it's the smooth G10, comp lock, and uncoated liners. I like the Micarta version and can live with the comp lock for that one, but it's probably my least favorite lock. I'd buy another Micarta or two in something like AEB-L, CPM-3V, K390, or CPM-MagnaCut. G10 Shamans will always be a pass for me regardless of the steel though.

I'm not a fan of the comp lock either, but I like the shaman ergonomics, and I'm a fan of cutlery shoppe generally. Glad to see their home run instant sell out on this one. :)
