Spyderco Closed Due to Inclement Weather

#1

Post by TazKristi »

Hey, everyone:
Spyderco (including SFO) will be closed on Monday, 15-Mar due to inclement weather. We're in the midst of a nasty blizzard and we're measuring the snow in feet. We plan to return to normal operations on Tuesday, 16-Mar.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Kristi

Nah, they're Coloradoans. They'll be out on the ski slopes as soon as the roads are open. ;) ;)

The day before yesterday a weather forecaster for a local station posted video of a couple of kayakers putting their boats in Clear Creek, North West of Denver.

This storm went down in the books as #4 out of the top 10 for snow in Denver, Colorado.

But hey, whether you’re skiing or kayaking, downhill water is fun. ;)

These photos are taken in Thornton, Colorado, (on the Plains,) which is about 18 miles, (29 km,) Northeast of Golden. Golden is in the “Front Range,” (the foothills,) of the Rocky Mountains. We got 20”, (~51 cm) of snow, Golden probably got more.

In the late winter and spring our storms tend to be wet, heavy snow. This one was no exception.

Beautiful!

We had heavy snow by our standards in the end of January, but it was just about 20-25cm, so less than half of what you got. It stood for two weeks though. Some cold weeks back then.

I hope you all weathered the blizzard okay! Cheers from mostly-overcast-but-slightly sunny California.
