Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
I love the Dfly, but between the ZDP, Pakkawood HAP40 and K390, I think I'll have to pass on this one at $168.
Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
I thought the first posting of the price was a mistake. I can't imagine paying $168 for a Dragonfly. I hope that the quality comes close to matching the cost for those who grab one.

Talked with Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe and he stated that they are oversold and doesn't know what his allocation will be.
Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
I’d love one of these but the price is unreasonable. $5 more gets you a Rex45 native chief sprint.
Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
Anything out of Japan that isn't FRN hits these prices. That is what it is.
I'm ALWAYS begging Spyderco to do more with the Dragonfly, and they have not disappointed really. The Hawkbill Dargonfly, The Wharncliffe, The Wave, the Pakkawood Hap40, now K390. I have no complaints, and still I push for more variants in G-10, Carbon Fiber, with liners, without liners....
I know this means higher cost. Especially from Japan.
I love high end small knives. And I think for most people there is always 'sticker shock' with small knives. The McBee, One Eyed Jack, Lil Nilakka, Pochi. It's not for everyone, but I love them.
I hope this sells out fast, and I hope some entrepreneurs out there commission a PE hawkbill Dragonfly with G-10 or Carbon Fiber.

At that price I'll pass.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
I'd be happier to see a Crucarta Dragonfly. Carbon Fiber doesn't do it for me.
Besides, my G10 K390 blade swap has me pretty well set for Dragonflies right now. :-)

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Sure! I've posted in a few threads, but here you go! So sexy, must resist!
Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
It does have black-coated stainless steel liners.

Here are some better picture from Edgeworks. I'm going to grab one when they hit one of my preferred dealers.

Such a sharp little knife. I'm not a huge fan of the Dragonfly, and this one's extra expensive, but man I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted!

It´s beautiful, although I not really like black blades.
But very expensive and hard to get in Europe as always.

Sal's maker's mark really pops in that TiCN blade!

Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
Initial impressions:
Very solid build, owing to the heft of the liners
Reminds me of my HAP40 DF2 Pakkawood. The CF scales offer less traction, but the TiCN coating makes the interaction with the lock bar very smooth (improved action)
Lock-up is the best I’ve seen in any Seki. I rarely have any rocking when testing the lock near the hole, but in my P4 LW and Enduras I can manage to create a little play by getting leverage through pressing near the tip. The blade here is so short and the lock back is so well implemented that I cannot generate any play, even at the tip
Overall I’m impressed. The heavier feel, smooth action, and lock-up make the price slightly less ridiculous and the handle and blade materials inspire pride of ownership. I don’t think I will EDC this because the handle is a little slick (would be worried about it coming unclipped) but will probably carry it when I wear a black suit.

Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive
In spite of my usual aversion to black scales, I really like the look of this one. I'm curious to see more pictures as people get theirs.
