I voted for the options I would buy, not that the other option do not have merit. I'm also not sure about using rust prone steels on knives that have handles/scales that cannot be removed. Maybe Fred & Eric can get together and make a "naked" Street Beat where we can add out own scales, or purchase pre-made ones? Then every blade steel is an option.

I voted micarta and tool steel. I'd like to see it in K390. I like the linen Micarta myself but I'd settle for canvas too. Was actually carrying the SB this weekend. Good little light fixed blade.

Another vote for micarta and tool steel. Any combo of either would get my dollars.
I also voted for an SE version. Because, well SE!

I'd probably consider a lightweight, but am far more interested in a micarta version.

And for the sake of discussion, what tool steels did you have in mind with you voted?

K390 was mentioned the most. M4, 52100 and 80CrV2 were also brought up more than once. Personally I'd like K390, but would be happy with any of these :)

K390.

I'd also be interested in M4 or 52100 second most.

I don't know if SuperBlue counts as a tool steel, but I'd be interested in that as well.

Hap40 (or Rex45 ^_^)would be another great choice.

K390 and M4 are my current favorites, but I'd be interested in HAP40 too. K390 seems like it would fit in with the current line-up well.

After seeing how many votes micarta is receiving I'm starting to wonder if it would sell better despite the higher price tag.

Choice #1 would be perfect for me. Green, natural, burgundy, burnt orange micarta, whatever. I'd prefer a matte finish, but I'd buy polished, too. I'd like to see that in both the Street Beat and the Bowie, and I'd be willing to pay a decent price for them.

Keeping the steel in Japan, HAP40 or ZDP-189.

I like ZDP but I don't think it has the toughness that I would desire in a fixed blade. I'm all for K390 or M4.

#1 choice: Ranger green micarta scales and uncoated tool steel (Something like M4, HAP40, or K390)
I would buy this all day long. K390 is already in Japan.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

If I were to pick a micarta and tool steel Street Beat/Bowie, my choices are Rex45/Hap40 and natural/brown micarta.
If a light weight, the same Rex45 steel and an orange handle.
However, my next two tool steels are k390 and 52100 and I’d want all of them to have the option of a serrated edge.
Cru-wear/4v are good too!

Stainless steels I’d want include CPM10V equivalent and M390 equivalent for micarta and Spy-27, S45vn, or AEBL for the FRN lightweight.
Again serrated options.

That’s what I’ve got in my mind in regard to the Perrin fixed blades, sorry if it doesn’t help narrow anything down lol :o
I’m just happy fixed blades are getting some attention, so I’m in regardless.

A tool steel like K390 would be my choice.

Not fussed about the handle, but canvas micarta would be cool.

Vivis choice #1 is perfect for me:
Micarta and uncoated tool steel, I'd take HAP 40... :)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

It makes me so happy to know that a Street Beat Sprint may be coming.

I have yet to find a more comfortable handle.
It just works...
