Personally, I feel like this was like an April's Fools knife. They dropped their most popular model with the most avid collectors fan base, just to see how far they could push the envelope...and price, to sucker in the diehard fanatics to feel like they NEED this knife. It will gradually turn into a slow win for them, as their not dumb and know how to run a business...and laugh all the way to the bank with it!

I'm sold that Spyderco could drop a PM2 made out of fecal micarta and the diehards would rave and justify needing it and its place in their collection.

I wonder if a Texas Flag version announcement would perk sales up.

I think you have made your point pretty clear by now, you don't like this knife. You're entitled to expressing your opinion but with all due respect, you don't have to come up with a new way to insult the knife everyday. (or Spyderco, for that matter)

This knife is a test of your spyderco loyalty. This knife must sell out in order for the new Jester to be unlocked. 😉

I love the scales. I don’t love the blade art so much. Most uses of the flag don’t appeal to me. You see them everywhere but when you’re in public and they play the anthem people don’t remove hats, stand etc. as I was taught and passed on to my children. I won’t be buying one but I am glad to see Spyderco trying new things. On a side note I bought a Manix LW with SPY 27 and I really like the steel.
:spyder: Shaman REX 45, Smock, Baby Jess Horn CE, Spydiechef, Schempp Bowie,Ti Fluted Military, Titanium Military, Native S30 V and G10, PM 2 in S35VN, and S110V, Manix 2 LW BD1 and SPY 27, Sage 5, Positron black CPM S30V, Chaparral w/Raffir Noble scales, SuperLeaf VG 10, Ladybug H1, Dragonfly 2 in ZDP 189 and Superblue/420J1 and H1, Delica in ZDP 189, Clipitool Standard, the Cook’s knife VG10, Santoku, paring and utility knives, all in MBS 26. :spyder:

I like the ideals, but I won't be buying one; there is too much going on for my tastes, it appears too busy or gaudy. It's a unique knife in a cool steel though.

Hopefully people will actually put some of them to use and not let them live on for eternity in their boxes, lol! If I was from Colorado it would definitely be a factor of consideration...I would like to see some of the flags on the blades after a good amount of wear and use.
So it goes.

Got mine this morning. It's as glorious in person as I was expecting! :D

Figured I would share a couple pictures of the unique box it came with here as well.
