Hawkbill blade in Delica 4 handle?
I'm wondering how difficult it would be to fit the Delica 4 handle with a hawkbill blade? I'm pretty sure there will be an LC200N Tasman Salt 2 forthcoming, but what I’m really looking for is an updated version of the Merlin, with a FFG K390 blade :D

I think the Harpy is your only other option unless something new comes along.

Something (sort of) new is what I'm lobbying for :D

Well the Delica handle doesn't fit my fingers very well, but if they did a hawkbill Rock Jumper I'd be all over it.

That’s not a bad idea, either :) I’m just looking for the easiest way :spyder: can give me what I want

Re: Hawkbill blade in Delica 4 handle?
Any folder can have a custom hawk blade fitted, but it will not always cut right.
The pull stroke for the blade is desirable, and most times the blade will still be a hawk, but just an arc that aligns with the previous blade's tip and ricasso.
I have designed around 18 ( I think ) hawkbills for existing knives, just to see the process, and what needs to be done to the lock area, which just means shifting the lock area a few degrees on an arc for it to work. All designs were for an aggressive pull stroke.

As far as I can tell, the handles for the Salt 2 and Tasman Salt 2 are identical. It also seems to be the case with the Delica 4 and Lil Matriarch handles. That’s why I’m thinking a hawkbill blade in the Delica 4 handle would not involve expensive new FRN molds. I guess only :spyder: knows for sure.
