I got the first two just to see what the Cru-Wear hype was all about. Now I feel like I need to try to get this one too. Cru-Wear is pretty impressive and the purple and black combo does look good.

Currently on the fence with this release, as I already have a purple PM2. Plus the M4 Tanto version will be released a few days later.

What doesn't cruwear do for you guys? What do you preferred instead?

For me, Cruwear just doesn't have the edge retention I like. I haven't noticed much of a difference between it and S30V in those regards. To my surprise on my Shaman after my first week of use at work in the warehouse, I actually had one minor chip and roll (granted factory edge) where as other steels used cutting the same material didn't suffer that damage. Though I will say, Cruwear was very easy to work with to sharpen those away, so the hype on the ease of sharpening is definitely true in my eyes as well.

It's a fine steel, but I think it was built up on this pedestal that once I tried it, it didn't blow me away that's all. My favorites are Rex45 and 4V, though my use with K390 a bit recently is also very impressive so far.
