We finally got the UKPK Salt. Sal, thanks for listening to us, yet again. I cannot wait to get one of these. It may just be the best idea in a pocket knife. It is corrosion resistant and holds an edge well. Come on, feel the noise!

I preordered both UKPK's along with the micarta PM2. Here's hoping I don't have to wait a million years from the dealer.

I'm with you 100%, Doc. The UKPK is such a great little design and having a Salt version in LC200N is fabulous! It'll be the ultimate go-to, go-anywhere, do anything knife.

I’m so pumped for this one, it’s going to be hard waiting! Some CF or Ti aftermarket scales are going to make this knife one of the best.

Flytanium, better get them ready!

This would have been a dream knife for me back when I EDC'd a UKPK & Military combo.

Within this YouTube clip from Knife Center, Eric mentions around 23:43 that he wouldn’t doubt that they would do serrated as well, but that he did not completely have faith in that.

I pre-ordered the C94SYL last evening. So, I truly hope that the serrated version is in fact made.

Hi Doc,

Thanx, but I can't take credit for this. It was Eric's and Kelly's decision and implementation. I'm pleased they did.

Sal, I think they made a good business decision. The Salt line is a great niche, and I've seen very little interest from other knife makers to compete with Spyderco in this marine / rustproof segment. The UKPK Salt makes that line available in many densely populated parts of the world that have rather restrictive knife laws.

Well, give them our thanks!

Also, thanks again for listening about the Roadie colors. Love that little knife.

I don't know why Spyderco just doesn't make LC200N the base steel for this knife anyway. We can have colors and still have low maintenance. Of course, I'm thinking like a guy who lives near the equator/jungle/ocean.

Hi Doc,

There are many steels with different properties like edge retention that exceed LC and I think many of our customers would balk at losing the choices.

I'm very happy and grateful for this slipit salt UKPK, it should be the perfect travel folder. You could easily cross borders with it and take it to the beach as well. Assuming we get to travel again ;)
