I love the color! It is closer to actual teal than the aqua Endura that is supposed to be teal.

The knife came sharp. It cur this hanging two ply toilet paper when I made a swipe at it.

I notice that unlike my other Manix knives, this one clicks when the blade opens beyond the self close. It this an alarm system? 🤣

The color is great. It is still earthy and not too greenish in the blue. I haven’t had a chance to use it, but I’m hopeful about this steel.

I actually really like the colour. LW Manix is on the ,,maybe my next Spyderco,, list. But that has to wait.
Congrats on a new knife Doc.

My knife has developed a small problem. After opening and closing it a number of times, the lock sticks in the open position requiring more force to unlock. When it does unlock, an audible "click" can be heard. I am not sure if this is a kink in the spring or a burr somewhere.

Lock stick. One of my Manix LW's had that problem once. It went away by itself, with use.

Just bought one two minutes ago! It’s been a long time since I’ve owned a Manix and my first time using SPY27, so I’m excited.

Congrats from here too, Doc! I too greatly enjoy reading your posts.

And you all may convince me yet to get back into the Manix 2 Lightweight game. I got rid of mine years ago, but the color and steel of this one is calling me!

Congrats on the knife, and the 10,000 posts Dan! I appreciate your light-hearted, positive attitude, as well as your taste in knives.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I just received my SPY 27 Manix and it has a mark on the blade 087V. Is that a collector’s #? I purchased from a legit dealer, the knife is clearly genuine. (I own other Manix 2’s to compare.) I like the color a lot. Hopefully I love the steel. The knife action is pretty stiff like previous new Manix’s.

Yes, in fact, I believe it is the CC # used by fellow forum member RadioactiveSpyder.
