Any new Wharncliffe Delica Flavors in the works?
Any new Wharncliffe Delica Flavors in the works?
We had the Hap 40, we have the VG-10 and H-1, but any more in the works?
K390? Something else?
I've come to enjoy this knife over the standard Delica. And would love to see more.

Cutlery Shoppe also had an exclusive Wharncliffe Delica in S30V. I would definitely welcome a second run of those.

I believe I remember seeing Sal comment somewhere that they intended to eventually offer a K390 Wharnie Delica. Or maybe it was just wishful thinking. :)

I hope so on the K390.

Re: Any new Wharncliffe Delica Flavors in the works?
I'm not a super big fan of on the Wharnie models but I've always liked Michael Janich's original Yojimbo and a couple of others. I've had such great satisfaction with my M390 Military model that I brag so much about>> that I do believe that M390 steel would work incredibly good in a Wharncliffe model. I just find that particular blade steel so durable for most EDC uses that I would like to see it used on other applications.
I've really been mind blown lately at the super fine finish you can get an M390 blade working it on some super hard benchstones.
Just last night I was tweeking my M390 Millie on some super hard stones and the edge I came up with was scary. I tested it cutting a couple of steaks off of a big pork roast and it literally "floated" through the meat in an almost effortless slice.
Yeah I would love to test drive a Wharnie in M390. Or even the K390 like Brother "ZROW" mentioned would be very interesting as well.

You forgot this one, by far my favorite Delica I own.
I would love to see a green handle Lc200n Salt Wharnie.

I feel like the wharncliffe D4 should be replaced by the Rockjumper. They're about the same size, and similar construction. Feels like they're taking up the same spot in the catalog.
Re: Any new Wharncliffe Delica Flavors in the works?
Me too...and by the way, we need more linerless Delicas!
Maybe call them ‘Ultralight Delicas’ and then we could have all sorts of varieties of steels and still get the benefits of the simpler design and lighter construction of the salt knife handle scales. (There is absolutely no need for liners in a folding knife that is the size of the Delica.) JMO of course. YMMV.

Matt, I like your thinking. However, you are not helping my wallet by coming up with these ideas! Hahaha! :D :D

From comparisons I've seen on here, the Rockjumper is a bit bigger in the handle and blade, especially when it comes to closed height. It sounds like they handle differently enough to justify their independent existence.

I think I saw this as well. I'd like one of these and an LC200N Salt 2 Wharnie.

I’m in for the LC and K390 options, hopefully the K390 comes in a SE option too.

I feel you on that one.

I was going to buy a Watu, was tempted by the Subvert. But ultimately I think Im going to get Ti Scales and clip for my Hap40 WharnDelica. Class it up a little. Pitty they do not sell ti hardware for that model.

Yeah...I bought two of those from Cutlery Shoppe and then put the blades in the Salt 2 handles. Best knives I have ever owned for my uses. They're all sold out now, I believe.
