Is it going to be the same one as before? Red G10 with S30V?

https://heinnie.com/spyderco-heinnie-ha ... nknife-g10

Just wondered. I had one and regret that I sold it. ;)
Yep, that’s it. No change as far as I know.

I got in on the pre-order last spring, so it’s Bern going for a while.

Very excited to get it, though. People who have it seem to enjoy it a lot. And for my use I think having no lock will be just fine.

Cool. Thank you. Yeah the UKPK is a great knife. I've had about 5 over the last 10 years and all of them were perfect. Great knife. For sure, needs no lock.

It's been a while, so I'm allowing myself a bump of this thread and keeping fingers crossed there may have been some progress :D

I've given up. I'm not even interested now. Buying other knives.

Edit: That was very crass of me and I am pretty sure I was having a bad day when I posted this. I apologize.

Well, based on the estimate it should be back in stock in the next week or two.

Right...?

Sorry to lose you Fred. We are building knives as fast as we can without reducing quality. Hope you think about us when a knife you like is being delivered.

Sal, It was not a dig against you guys at all. That was very crass of me and I am pretty sure I was having a bad day when I posted that. I apologize.

When I say, "buying other knives", I'm buying more Spydies. I typically only buy Spyderco with another brand thrown in here and there. I currently own about 6 times more Spydies than any other knife. :)

You're not losing me. My wife and I met you in 2012 at your headquarters and it was great. I appreciate you.

May I ask what the actual hold up is with the HH ukpk? In three days time my pre paid order will be a year old. I now see a HH exclusive urban has hit the shelves. I have msgs from spyderco say production was planned for April/May and still no sign of it. If there was a decent competitor to the ukpk I would jump ship but unfortunately there isn’t so you have me over a barrel. Well I doubt my birthday knife from last year won’t show up this year either. Fingers crossed for 2022 I guess.

It seems strange to see a new Spyderco special drop before the UKPK is back in stock, but we don't know how long that's been underway as well, and how much it's been delayed.

I'm also tired of the wait, but I'm not sure if anyone is to blame here, really, except the global pandemic. You could say that Heinnie should have waited to take peoples money, but I guess they didn't expect the production time to extend this far.

And I'm sure Spyderco are doing what they can, within the restrictions they are under. They probably just want to make and sell as many knives as they can properly do.

Would be nice to get an update from Spyderco though. Please, Kristi?

Everything I’ve heard from earlier in the thread indicates that the ball was in HH’s court and they whiffed on their slot.

HH did not put in their re-order in time. Somewhere there was a communications issue and this is the result. The US factory is running at capacity and has a backlog of orders. All of this has been discussed before.

It’s an excellent knife if the first version is any indication and well worth the wait.

My guess is it’ll come around along side the lc200n ukpk, since the tooling will be up and running.

That’s perfect for me though since I was planning on doing a blade swap anyways. Still waiting on this one, patiently as always.

Well why did spyderco tell me production was in April may then?

Hi, Paddy:
I'm waiting for an update from our team. As soon as I have more information, I'll post it. The information you were provided in May was accurate to the best of our knowledge - production schedules can be fluid for various reasons. I'm sorry that we failed to meet the date we provided, but we are working diligently to catch up. Unfortunately, I missed your previous post, but we appreciate everyone's patience.

Kristi

COVID-19 has strained a lot of businesses and put them behind. Some it has put out of business. I'd say just be patient. I am anxious to get my hands on one of these, myself and it does help keep interest up asking when. But, we should also keep in mind that they are not dragging their feet on this.
