I bought myself a PM2 Tanto (satin), and bought my stepdad a Native 5 SPY27. His first Spyderco!

I’ve bought him numerous good knives over the years but he just hasn’t taken to any of them.
Last week we were working and I handed him my Cruwear Delica and asked what he thought of it, he immediately fell in love. Said he loved the ergos, the scale grip and the weight.
I planned on getting him a Delica, but I thought about how much wire stripping he does with his pocketknife and thought the Native 5 would be better, due to being able to choke up on the blade with the finger choil.
Also- I’ve never seen the native 5 in person, nor SPY27, so I get to get my grubby little hands on it too :D

I really wanted to get him a Cruwear Delica but no dice- I’m not paying $170+ to a flipper for the DLC version. I considered the K390 Delica but I think he’d struggle with sharpening it.
Hopefully he’ll like the Native.

This is the first knife anyone has ever bought me. They all know I have really specific tastes and don't wanna "screw up". My wife even mentioned that this Police is nothing like what I usually buy and she's right, it's a lot of things I actually don't like but for some reason I love it anyway. She found it in a list I was watching on Amazon.

I’ve been planning on buying the Serrated Native 5 Salt since it came out, maybe finally getting a Native in hand will push me over the edge.

Not a Spyderco but I'm very impressed my 3 kids created and gifted me this knife. I asked if they modeled it after a pocket knife I had left on the counter. They said no and advised all on memory. My favorite knife! :p Factory 2nd PM2 max did lots of gift openings today. Happy Holidays everyone!

Well, I bought it for myself, does that count? I finally got my hands on a brand new CQI'd Para 3 with the "black" S30V blade. I have a worker PM2 in the same configuration but sometimes the PM2 is just a tad too big. All of my Para 3s are basically safe queens so I decided it was time to get one that I wasn't afraid to get dirty. I'm loving it so far. Except I'm afraid that :spyder: isn't using DLC anymore because no where online or in the literature for the knife does it say "DLC". All the online retailers just have it listed as having a "black" blade. Hopefully it'll stand the test of time like my PM2

Thanks to the Factory Seconds sale, I added 3 awesome knives for Christmas at the 1/3 the cost of what it would have cost if I paid full price for each.

The GOTD Ladybug is a nice surprise and a very nice freebie from KnivesShipFree, always amazing to get free stuff, all the more amazing if it costs almost $50 full price.

There is a literal black sheep somewhere in there if you look hard...
