Your Spyderco Christmas Eve And Christmas Day EDC

#1

Post by Water Bug »

Merry Christmas, Y'all!!! :)

Christmas is upon us and it's time to prepare for the day with a Spyderco knife. So, what :spyder: are you EDCing on Christmas Eve And Christmas Day?

My Spyderco CTS 204P Military is in rotation this week, so that's my EDC for these days. I like how the dark green G-10 scales of this knife go with the colors of the season. Along with my CTS 204P Military, I'll be EDCing my Spyderco Delica 4s in PE and SE. Should we go out, I'll swap out my Delica 4 PE with my Spyderco Assist in Orange FRN as my VEDC.

How about you? :)

During the day today(24th) it'll be my AEB-L URBAN. then I'm working tonight so I swap over to a stanly utility knife.

Christmas day I'll go with my s110v UKPK and a skeletool cx , handy for getting the kids presents out the boxes and batteries inserted.

Back out to work in the evening though, so utility blade again.

Merry Christmas everyone

No doubt my K12 & K11’s will be most used, but my edc will be my CF Brouwer and Ladybug Hawkbill.

Merry Xmas, & stay well!

Normally I like to carry larger folders, but I think for Christmas Eve my Chaparral FRN will be the best choice. Small, but extremely slicey and capable plus quite "classy" looking for an FRN knife.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I'm working today so it's my Caribbean sheepscliffe. Tomorrow will probably be my Rock Jumper, I like a SE wharnie for opening packages and clamshells and such.

It was supposed to be a Delica 4 Saber Grind ... but the courier didn't arrive on time. So it will be the UKPK S110V. Merry Christmas Eve!

I will definitely be carrying either the se hawkbill dragonfly or the dodo. Both are excellent tools for helping my kids free their gifts from clamshell packaging and thousands of tiny ties and straps.

Dfly k390 - something small

At home I used my tenacious lightweight and Para 3 Maxamet to open gifts.

Also sharpened the Maxamet after cutting some paper. Maybe I am a bit obsessed with the sharpness level of my knives ;)

Probably either my Endela, or a PM 2 for a full size and the Ladybug on the keychain, too, when I leave the house.

Today at work (Christmas Eve) I have my Para 3 Lightweight with me.

Not sure what I’ll have in my pockets Christmas Day, probably the Tasman PE for those pesky zip ties and something classy like my Pattada or Kapara. Never know till it happens.

DF 2 Salt SE for now since it's light enough for clipping to the pocket on my pajamas. Probably Native 5 LW S30V when I switch to pants.

i haven't been carrying much of anything but my se sheepsfoot caribbean since i got it. it's by far my least favorite looking spyderco, but it's hard to argue with 3.7" of se lc200n with a wonderfully comfy grip and a comp lock. it's got ergos and action that are so nice i can get past it's looks. i've also been carrying my squarehead a lot lately as a fidget toy. it's less scary than normal knives and i love the form factor as kind of a textured frn worry stone.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I'm taking this Spyder-Christmas very seriously. My main EDCs will be my C-46 Lum Tanto folder along with a PE version, G-10 Sprint Run C-60 Ayoob. For my companion blade with teeth I'm going with my Yellow handled H-1, SE Spyderhawk.

And of course I'll continue to use my ATS-55 Stainless Handled RESCUE model for opening packages and other rough C-Day duties. And that's what you call being blessed from above

I like to show off my C-46 Lum Tanto folder on Holidays as well as any of my C-60 Ayoob models. And if I would happen to dull any of them I'll have my C-44 Dyad on hand just in case. That's what you call having a Spyder-Christmas.

It's Christmas Eve already here. I'm carrying my M390 Smock at Christmas Eve church service tonight.

Haven't decided yet. Likely between the KW Exclusive Para 3 in 204P, HH UKPK or the Watu with Figured Koa scales. Festive colors, or the unique/classy carry!
