And of course, now that I said, both that were currently browsing are gone. Oops, nevermind, they're back. 🚆

The bots that show as browsing the forum are not the same as the bots used to buy at rapid pace. The bots browsing are the ones that make all the search engines work by cataloging the internet.

I figured they weren't the same, but I don't know much about that kind of stuff.

They are all the same basic thing, just automated scripts.

They are just programmed for a different function.

Yes, and everything is made of atoms. We still differentiate based on function, amongst other metrics.

I didn't get a shipping notification yet from my order on Thursday morning. Not sure whether to cut them some slack or be a squeaky wheel to try to get my order faster.

I would try to be patient (easy for me to say). There is probably a huge amount of work still to be done.

Haha, I wasn't going that far. :p

Just pointing out that all bots are the same thing, just automated scripts. The difference lies in the actual task they perform, automatically.

I would wager that 90% of bots in use today, regardless of task, were derived from the same source.

Hi Guys,
Would anyone please explain to me what "Bots" are?
Thanx.
Programs made to click faster than us :D
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, it shows who is currently on the forum. There are usually a couple bots browsing at any given time. Maybe they like us.

Ive got shipping notifications and rescheduled notifications.

FYI, mine are being shipped via UPS as most others likely are too. My work is right across the street from a UPS distribution center, and they are getting hammered so hard they've been renting out every U-haul truck they can get their hands on to use for delivery trucks. Spyderco is only one half of shipping, once they do their part you're at the mercy of the holiday season. Those trucks typically line up down the whole street to the right.

My three orders have shipped, two are moving and one is awaiting pickup, so props to Spyderco after this crazy event.

I can empathize with Spyderco's shipping dept. Right now, and imagine they are working their butts off... For example, my company, we do fulfillment from my location for online orders, all shipped through UPS. Last year, for the week of, and the week after black friday I shipped a combined 1100 units out, about maybe 800 packages. This year between the two, I shipped 8,950 units in approx 3500 orders. Every day we've been filling up one or two U-hauls till it tapered off yesterday.

Well the older terminators could not carry complex devices through time, and since the Terminator asked for a cutting tool he probably could not bring one back through time. So they have to get their knives in the current time. The newer liquid metal Terminators can form their own stabbing instruments so they don't need to buy knives.

Yeah but they'd still buy spydercos because they know money will be obsolete in a few years.

I heard somewhere that they use credits. Some guy named Kirk was SOL, when he went back in time, wanted to buy a pizza in SF.
