Easy enough to miss, as it was buried partway thru a 10 page thread. According to Michael Janich's post a few pages back, there will be a link on the Spyderco home page once the sale goes live.

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic discussion of the 2020 Seconds Sale. We truly appreciate your interest. As many of you noted, bringing the sale completely online is a technological challenge. Before committing to specific dates, we wanted to make sure we had all our IT assets wired tight. We are confident we've done that, so we are now prepared to announce the dates.

The Online Factory Seconds Sale will start at 10 a.m. MT on Thursday, Dec. 3rd and end at 5 p.m. MT on Saturday, Dec. 5th. When the sale goes live, a link will be available from the Spyderco.com homepage.

Please follow our social media and the Spyderco forum for more announcements and updates.

Having been to an actual seconds sale, I know that quite a few of the knives are in pretty rough shape. Since they aren't handpicked, and there are no returns, what steps have been taken to ensure that customers won't be disappointed?

I believe they are hand picking to avoid ones that are too rough.

Do we have to have an account on spydercos website? Or can we check out as a guest?

I havent ordered anything direct from spyderco in a long time, but the last time I tried it wouldnt let me make an account and I had to do it over the phone. Which you cant do for this.

Yep. Twenty seconds until the sale and the site won't work. Oh well, I never expect much about of these types of sales.

edit: noon and cant access the site on either of the three devices I tried.

Luckily they are dropping them in batches, so if you miss the initial feeding frenzy maybe you can get lucky later.
