I'm really hoping they didn't tell us it would be three days long and then make it two.

Just for clarification does that mean its done for the day, or the whole sale is over?

Looks like that's a wrap. Congratulations to all those that got something! I was looking for a Yojimbo and missed out yesterday and today, but I did get 3 PM2 and 2 Para 3. I am sure Spyderco will learn from this year and next year will be even better!

I don't think they understood how popular they'd be.

It's literally their world wide fanclub spamming the page trying to buy something.

Wow, that was certainly interesting to say the least. I think I checked atleast 50 times today, but I was able to snag a PM2 in Maxamet. :D
Really hope Spyderco does this again next year!

That's surprising. I'm guessing things sold out faster than expected.

I imagine Spyderco held some stuff back that might not be acceptable without physical inspection. Hopefully there will be a lot of gems next year if they have an in person factory sale.

Overall not a performance I would have expected from Spyderco.

For me it was the first and last second sale.

Kind of odd that they planned for three days but sold out in two. They didn't make it clear that that was a possiblity. Oh well.

Hey brothers,

It seems like we were all pretty enthusiastic with our checkouts, and cleared out the Seconds Inventory early. Please checkout Spyderco's Twitter for additional information. What a ride gents and ladies, it's over.

Well I applaud spyderco for going thru with this. Must have been a massive undertaking, and all things considered I feel it went pretty well. Personally I would never have a chance at the in person event, so I’m elated I was able to snag the k390 police for 95 bucks. I wanted more but hey, far better than just hearing about it online. I actually found it kinda fun. Good work spyderco, don’t listen to the whiners on Twitter. People tend to suck on the internet. Be happy the online sale happened at all.

Thanx much!

Thanks, Meat man. The Spydiechef at that price, and the Matriarch would have had me dancing in the streets. Not to be, I guess. At least everyone can enjoy their Saturday without playing whack a mole now.

What a ride! I'll post my thoughts later as I'm at work now. But above anything else - THANK YOU SAL, KRISTY MIKE, ERIC, and Co. For making this possible. THANK YOU.

Feel like I done the hard yards like the guys and gals store visits of years gone by.
Had to camp out on the lounge until 3:30 in the morning in Australia.

Paid off got a few.

Could just imagine the traffic opening this sale up to world wide. Great job Spyderco and the haters are always going to hate no matter what. (That’s why I like here. People are a touch more understanding)

Wow, that's crazy! Based on what I've seen at previous in-person events, my best guess is that they probably culled the inventory down to the items with the smallest defects to minimize complaints from first-time buyers getting stuff sight-unseen.

At the physical sales, it doesn't seem like they've come anywhere near selling out of everything, but if you take out all the really rough stock and only sell the best, and then expand the customer pool to all the people who aren't able to travel locally to Golden (plus tons of shopping bots and flippers), I could definitely see how they could underestimate demand and run out of stock.

I managed to snag two Z Cuts and a Native combo edge for my buddy. There were a few others I missed that I would have loved to have but all in all it was really fun and I hope it happens online again.

As soon as new items are dropped I have 1 or 2 in cart and try checking out within a minute or so. Then I just get forced to try and check out over and over, reloading and re-entering info, until the item goes out of stock.
This is the frustrating part. I dont care that I didnt get the item. I care that it takes so much of my time for me not to get it.
Agree twice had cart of items and for what ever computer issues did not get them. It was waste of time, but we all knew this is not a IT company, what they do best is is the knives, so that is what they stick to.

Just frustrating, but all they important things in life are good

Anyone get a Nightstick? Seems like a pretty good price.
I was sorely tempted, put one in my cart but then could not pull the trigger.

Goodnight everyone.
