Bow river sheath ..lefty

#1

Post by SC_PATRIOT »

I love the bow river! It has been the perfect around the house food cutter for general fruits and veggies. HOWEVER, no fault to Spyderco but I'm a lefty. Does anyone know who makes the leather sheaths? I know sheath pro does all the bolatron but I don't think they do the leather. Not sure so any input is appreciated. Looking to get another Bow River due to the price point but I want the same sheath but in a lefty mount even if I have to order outright. Thanks all.

You might contact Patriot Leather, also kind of fitting for your screen name! They made one of my sheaths, and they are top notch!

Looking for original sheath designer but in a lefty. I have purchased from Patriot before. I prefer a thinner leather. Thanks though.

Not sure if it’s the style you’re after, but Sagewood make some pretty cool sheaths.

They might do a custom Bow River lefty for you.

I’ve been well pleased with the lefty dangler attachments I’ve ordered from them before.

If you don't find what you're looking for you might want to check out the Esee HM series sheaths. Those are my go to sheaths when I get a fixed blade that doesn't have a lefty sheath. They're between $20 and $30.

Hey, SC_PATRIOT:

The Bow River sheaths are made by a great leather company in Spain. Unfortunately, they do not make a left-handed model and, to my knowledge, do not do one-off custom work.

The Esee option blendergasket mentioned is probably the most economical solution for you.

I hope this helps.

Stay safe,

Mike

What happened to the boltaron bow river sheath? And the boltaron province sheath? Did they get pushed back or canceled?

I have heard a lot of great things about Badger Claw Leather! Other than that, the Esee route looks like a good idea :)
