Has anyone mentioned the Pre Diver Yet?
Well "REJECT" I never knew this model even existed. Maybe I might have seen it sometime in the past but I sure don't ever remember it being on Spyderco's main line up.

I'm wondering if it was one from the old "Ironstone" days? I thought that I had owned about every sheepsfoot model that Spyderco had ever made. That measurement scale on the side indicates to me that this knife was meant for some specialized use or for some specific skill or trade.

Thanks for sharing that one with us.

I would love to test drive that serrated Laguiole. I would like to see how it would stack up against other serrated blades. I would particularly like to test it along side of my full SE Catcherman. I do like the looks of that Laguiole in PE but much more so in SE especially.

Cousin Dave is here deer hunting, so I clipped my hefty Farid K2 in my pocket
in case he calls me and wants help skinning a deer.

I’ve always thought of the C140 Superleaf as a Para Military on steroids

Actually The SuperLeaf model appears to be more of a beefy version of the NATIVE model to me. But I do see what you're saying.

The older, smaller blade Spyder from that era I really liked was the SPUR model. I've said several times that Spyderco can easily claim to be the King of Small bladed folders.

So many past models that are no longer in the spotlight... here are a few that I'd like to own, or see reissued as Sprints/exclusives/flash batches:

Centofante 4
R (I'm lucky enough to own one of these)
Rock Lobster
Rookie
Toad

Spyderco imported Moki 920/921
-David

still more knives than sharpening stones...

The mostly forgotten C51 Rookie.
I've gone on record saying that the ROOKIE model might have been the most perfect sized EDC folder Spyderco ever made. I would not at all hesitate to give someone a ROOKIE model for a gift. Now I can't say that about many Spyderco models because a lot of Spyderco models are really only appreciated by knife enthusiasts like us.

But the ROOKIE if it had better marketing it could still be in Spyderco's main line up. Because to me it looked like the quintesscential perfect EDC folder. I doubt if there are very many jurisdictions in the USA that you couldn't carry a ROOKIE model.

That's another one they ought to consider giving a second chance.

Oh for sure a jazzed up version of the Rookie with a G-10 handle and something like M390 or K390 blade steel could still make the ROOKIE and optimum folder. Like I said in previous posts The ROOKIE may indeed be the one model that virtually anyone could appreciate. But a deluxe version with a great handle and supersteel blade would appeal to a wide range of knife users.

I thought that with all this talk about the Rookie, I would do a comparison between the Rookie and Delica. I was surprised with the results.
