M4 dlc yojimbo without a Maker's Mark

Has anyone ever seen a blade HQ exclusive yojimbo with DLC that doesn't have a makers mark?

I've never seen one.

For coated blades, you might want to make sure that it wasn't done as an "aftermarket" process, where someone took the satin-finished blade and had it coated themselves. The biggest giveaways would be that, under proper light, the blade markings would still be faintly visible under the coating and the sharpening of the edge where it removed the coating would not look "factory."

Before black-bladed Yojimbo 2s were offered as factory-made items, I had some done by Robbie Barrkmann at ROBAR. The difference between factory-done and aftermarket is pretty easy to see. Also, the black-bladed Blade HQ exclusives also had black hardware. If the knife has a black blade and silver hardware, it was probably an aftermarket coating.

If not, you may have a unicorn...

Stay safe,
