Help w/ authentication pm2

#1

Post by deviant69 »

Hi, new here

Just got a pm2 m390 from eBay, but one thing both me about the knife so wanted to get some extra views just to be sure. The knife have great action, but it’s just the lanyard tube is not chamfered and I have read before that no chamfering is tell tale fake.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks

It looks just like my red M390 PM2. I looked at a few of my other PM2s. The chamfer's there but hard to see on most of them

Deviant,

Here are three PM2’s. All three were purchased at the Spyderco Factory Outlet. (SFO)

The top and bottom ones are first quality and the one in the middle is a factory 2nd. The lanyard tube chamfers are similar on the other side, too. All three vary a bit compared to each other.

Edit to add: Just took a look at the chamfer on the lanyard tubes on my Para 3's. They vary to a certain degree and the Burnt Orange one only has a slight chamfer on the edges of the tube. From where I'm sitting, and by looking at your pictures, I'd say your PM2's are authentic.

Agree with all the above. It looks good to me. Plus you've got the DLT sticker that came with it.

It looks identical to my DLT Para 2 in M-390.
