Would love:

A regular Little Native Comp Lock but with LC200N blade and liners, like the Caribbean, and jimping in the choil and spine.

An LC200N fixed blade about the size of the Esee Candiru, but would settle for an Enuff in plain edge LC200N.

I really want a UKPK Salt with LC200N. I also want a Salt 2 with a point.

The backlocks seem to be the best suited to Salt by a nautical mile, so...

Lil’ Native backlock Salt. Tough enough to shuck oysters, I wonder?

Native Chief SE Salt. As close to a Military Salt as needed.

And of course the UKPK Salt in LC200N!

Something larger than the Pacific Salt, with a full flat grind, available in PE, SE and CE, with a large, well exposed opening hole. No heavier than 4.5oz. Lockback preferred.

I've said it many times, but if Spyderco put out something like a Police Salt I can't ever see that being topped.

I also liked the idea of small EDC fixed blades but the Swick has me covered on that end. Just patiently waiting for a release :)
If a police 4 LW salt, or any serrated p4 LW came to be... I think Spyderco knows we’d quit buying knives!

SE P4 LW Salt, that blew my mind. I'd buy one of those. Don't even have to make things difficult with the molds, just put in Ti liners.

All I ask for is a Pacific Salt SE with full-flat ground LC200N. Make the serrations shallow and more rounded.

Toxic green FRN and TiCN blade would be icing on the cake. :D

+1
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Haha isn't that the truth.

Reading through this thread put another idea in my mind - black scales. I appreciate why they're made, but I have no interest in bright yellow or green scales on a knife.

Now foliage green or OD green, I can get on board with that :)

I'm sure many of us would be happy with only Salts.

If Spyderco were designing a new Salt knife and you were given a chance to offer some input, what would you ask for? Just curious. :)
Hi Lance---

For me the white elephant in the room is the conspicuous absence of a folding filet in the salt lineup.

What I would like to see is a collaboration between you, Phil Wilson and Paul Alexander to make this happen. So much talent and experience here that it would be a travesty for this not to happen.

Some are pining for the return of the Catcherman, but a "third time's a charm" philosophy is probably not a good business model. I'm sure Sal has many theories as to why sales did not live up to expectations so a new platform and design is probably called for. The market is flooded with inexpensive filet knives and is highly competitive....most of which are probably made in China. Hard to argue with a carbon steel Dexter filet with a diamond honing steel for yeoman's work on a budget. I think Spyderco's demographic lies towards the other end of the spectrum where it excels.

Like most knife AFI's I have my own preconceived notions and hairbrained ideas but am reluctant to broadcast on a public forum. I defer to you, Phil and Paul. Now about that serrated Siren....................

Replacing H1 steel with LC200n in all PE models would make me happy. I have the Native 5 salt but would rather have LC200n in Atlantic, Pacific and Dragonfly models

This is what I have been working on. 3.5” fixed blade EDC. I call this one the Mini Bonemaker and it is a small trailing point skinner modeled after my full sized rigid fillet, the “Bonemaker”.

Huge thanks to Chad Kelly for the amazing custom work! Chad‘s such an artist!

Everyone is still looking for that easy to sharpen LC200N fixed filet, although an upscale Vanax Phil Wilson collaboration would be most welcome, too. Now about that Salt Dyad..............
