Definitely should have been made somewhere with sprint potential! I came here thinking of starting a similar "we should sprint the astute" thread. I would love it as a backlock, but would definitely get bitten as I do the blade falling on finger backlock close with all my spydies, and this edge doesn't have any choil/ricasso to let me get away with that :cool:
I'd be happy with a Ti framelock aswell.

I just refuse to buy a knife from China, if I have the choice(which I do).

Some of our Chinese makers are open to better steels. ZDP, however is far more complicated. Hitachi requires that they train the heat treaters for ZDP.
