Heine Heines Exlusive UKPK delayed... Again.

I hate to say it, but with no delivery date I'm really considering cancelling my order. I ordered this knife back in March and it was expected in June. Then it was delayed until August. Now the delivery date is up in the air. I understand Covid is causing a lot of issues... We're dealing with some of them at my own work right now. But this is still pretty disappointing to me. :(

I think I'm going to hold off on pre-orders that require cash up front from here on out.

That is a bummer. I wonder if issues with overseas shipping is partially to blame. Are other new spydie models showing up in Europe on the usual timetable?

you hit "back order" it still says 4-6 weeks (as it has unfortunately for the several weeks I've been watching it...). But there's no new update note, suggests to me we're still in the same delay phase we've been on.

I received the same email from them, that the delay has been extended past August/September with no new estimated date.

I’m bummed, I’m super impatient to get my mitts on a g10/s30v UKPK again.

However, I’ll note Heinnie Haynes is clearly working hard to keep us informed. Here’s hoping it makes it before my birthday (January)!

You may suggest to HH to place their next order now. This model is sure to be a long term model and if they wait until they run out to order again, they lose a year plus.

Just my opinion.

I would like a knife like this available as regular production. The red is nice, but another color or colors would be better.

I agree. And hang on! I’d say it’s worth the wait. I love mine, although I didn’t have to wait to get one (found it used) I’d say it’s worth it. Really all the pocket knife I’d need and then some (if only it was serrated...)

Yeah.
It is super annoying.

I placed an order for this in 2019, and finally messaged HH in in April, to find out what was going on. They replied saying should be June 2020. I thought that it was a fairly weak effort on their behalf no to be more upfront, and told them so. It feels like I have waited over a year for this thing, and we are still in the dark.

But really, why isn't this a production model? They could change the G10 colour every year, maybe mix up the blade shape, add serrations, etc.

Have you considered that maybe it's out of their control and they don't have as much info as you might think? Sal has said it can be a year before exclusives get into production. I'm sure sometimes longer. Have a little patience

It was a production model. I have one that's orange G10/S30V. For whatever reason Spyderco discontinued it. Usually that's due to poor sales and the need to make production room for new models

Well, orange anything is not going to sell as well as another color, though I like orange. Patriot or Cadet blue and SPY27 would be pretty nice, or S45VN.
