I love murdered out blades and I love wire clips but I also love back locks more than comp locks. WHY ain’t there a murdered out back lock with a wire clip? 🤬

I agree. Not sure why they went with the spoon clip on the backlock. The wire clip is my favorite as well.

I agree 100%

I really do like the compression lock, but not on that small a knife. I wish the St. Nick's 4V & upcoming S90V sprint had backlocks sooo badly, but NOOO......

I feel with you... though for ME and given my personal preferences the choice would be very easy:
Backlock over comp. lock, spoon clip over wire clip, satin blade over blacked out blade... ;)

Maybe the lock type could help you make the choice: No matter if one generally prefers the comp. lock or backlock, if the backlock of the Lil Native is constructed like in the Native 5, it should be an especially well made variant, even for Spyderco standards, while I read several times that people find the comp. lock a bit awkward to use in that particular model (Lil Native)... or to put it differently: Backlock especially good in the "Natives", so better "safe" the comp. lock for other models... ?!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Ha, both are awesome and nothing is more awesome than DLT’s hyper speed FAST shipping! DLT is also extremely reachable if you need to contact them for any reason. They are always my first choice when buying a new knife.

I prefer the Comp lock on this model, it has liners and a wire clip.

But, you could also just take the clip off the backlock and drop it in your pocket. I prefer a backlock on most small knives and rarely keep the clip on when they are under a certain size.

Thats a great point about the clip on the smaller knives. I am gonna remove the clip because the Dragonfly(s) lives in the bottom of my pocket usually with a larger knife carried using the clip.

I assume "murdered out" means black? Never heard that before.

Yessir, it’s a term most commonly associated with cars. Like paint, wheels, trim, tint, all of it.

But yeah... black on black on black everything. Best way I can define it

I like the lil native. I have only the compression lock.

To be honest it's heavy and the ergos are not perfect for me. At the closing the Ricasso toches my finger. I'd love if that would have been longer (flipper tab).

If I want a lightweight backlock: -> Dragonfly
If I want a solid compression lock: para 3 / para 3 lightweight
