Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?
It takes a lot for a knife to stick in my collection -- I like to have a smaller collection since it allows me to carry things regularly and it gives me more flexibility for new purchases and keeps me from going overboard. RIght now, aside from knives given to me as gifts, I have four knives that are in the permanent collection, two of which are Spyderco:
Chaparral (Titanium)
This is about as close to perfect as a pocket knife can be for me. This was the pocket knife that literally changed the game for me and make me want to explore past my previous $70 price limit for knives. This was the knife that made me understand Spyderco.
The Chaparral platform is just a downright slicing machine which is just unrivaled -- on top of that though there is the ergonomics, crispness of the action, blade shape, blade to handle ratio, fit and finish, edge geometry, thin spine and one of my favorite underappreciated details: the jimped forward choil -- but in reality, everything!
I had the LW version prior, but the titanium version cranked it from a 10/10 to 11/10 -- it just gives the knife so much more balance. Sal absolutely designed a real winner with this one. The only thing I wish we had were steel sprints... but a man can dream I guess.
Dragonfly 2 (K390)
I love the fact that I have a super lightweight carry knife with an absolute beast of a steel. Even aside from the steel, this is something like a 20 year old design that still is a force to be reckoned with in the knife world and easily competes head-to-head with the competition, despite it coming first.
This has many of the features of the Chaparral that I love, just in an even smaller and lighter format. It fits beautifully into the hand, has a very usable blade shape and I love the crowned spine. One thing I love using my Dragonfly for is piercing cuts since it has such a nice acute tip. On top of that, it's a great knife for situations where a larger knife may not be appropriate.
I owned one in ZDP-189 previously about a year and a half ago, but am really learning to re-appreciate it. It truly is a legendary knife in the Spyderco lineup.

Of the inhouse designs: my Z-Wear Shaman. What a (classy Sal-made) beast of a blade.
Of my collab Spydies: my Tighe Stick. What a (totally different yet equally impressive) beast of a blade.
Aside of the beasts: my Slysz Bowie and my Stretch 2. Best allrounders I own.

The Dragonfly and Delica keep wowing me. Every time I try to move on to something else, that knife ends up not being as good as the aforementioned Dragonfly or Delica. They just do so many things well.

This guy right here. My favorite model, steel and handle scale materials. As well as a unique and awesome lock. Really nothing NOT to like for me!

Everytime I lock a Military in my hand!

Spydiechef. I’m on my 4th one. I always seem to let it go for one reason or another. But then I always start regretting it. And each time I get it back, I realize how much I missed it. It’s one that can wow me even when I don’t have one.

My REC Shaman scratches every itch these days…it’s all I ever wanted. Love to carry and USE it!
Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?
Military. Big knife, can still do most all small tasks with it, though I often pair it with a Ladybug or Urban. If I could have only one Spydie, it would probably have to be Millie.

Dragonfly. Every time I hold it, amazing ergos. I wear XL gloves.

The Astute. The build quality on mine is easily equal to anything I've seen out of Taiwan, Golden, or Seki. The grind allows for the edge to be extremely thin, and it packs as much blade as possible into the handle. It's also very compact when closed, something that's not common within Spyderco's catalog.
The Rockjumper. I'll never stop raving about the handle on this knife. Every time I hold it I wish that this had been the norm over models with choils.
